There is a guide in the how to for the GTI spoilerand for non GTIs without a spoiler you just slide the cover off and there are screws behind that. bithmeister Posted July 30, 2008 Report Share Posted July 30, 2008 to remove the spoiler brake light (if its a gti),you need to remove the complete spoileropen your tailgate ,by the hinges you will see rubber boots that carry wires from the car pull these to one side ,theres a 10mm bolt holding the spoiler on (one on each side under the rubbers)there also a plastic cover on the tailgate between the hinges,slide this towards yourself and remove 3 self tapping screws.once all bolts/screws are removed pull spoiller from tail gate,disconnect the brake light wire,the spoiler can be now be moved from car ,if the light still works be carefull removing it as they break very easily,if it doesnt work the most likely cause is corrosion ,around the plughope this helps Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
