Welcome!

To be honest, you're always going to get a biased opinion on here as it is a forum dedicated to the Lupo, Arosa & Fox with a heavy leanin' towards the VAG world.

'Out of the box' figures from Parkers show this:

Saxo VTR

1.6i VTR 3d (97) 9.9 s 116 mph 90 bhp 920Kg

1.6i VTR 3d (99) 9.1 s 120 mph 100 bhp 920Kg

Lupo Sport

1.4 Sport 3d 9.7 s 116 mph 98 bhp 1005Kg

1.4 Sport TDi 3d 11.9 s 106 mph 73 bhp 1057Kg

Arosa Sport

1.4 16V Sport 3d (Mk2) 9.7 s 117 mph 98 bhp 946Kg

1.4 16V Sport 3d (MK1) 9.7 s 117 mph 100 bhp 910Kg

1.4 TDi 3d 11.7 s 106 mph 73 bhp 965Kg

So all in all pretty much the 'same'.

The only real way to check is to get them on a track day or a strip.

I feel that the build quality and safety (NCAP rating: Saxo 2 stars :: Lupo 4 stars :: Arosa not tested, but same general body/chasis as Lupo) are where the Lupo/Arosa surges ahead. They will, if looked after, hold value better than a Saxo; as you'll find out when you start looking.

They also aren't seen as such a chav mobile, though as their prices drop they are coming into the hands of the more ... um... chavmobile owners.

Pic's of your Saxo?

Ray
