low lupo Posted October 26, 2007 Report Share Posted October 26, 2007 it whines like the clutch is not fully pressed in,then when i dab the clutch a few times it then stops.... until i tap my accelerator or hit a bump ... then again i get a whine this is in every gear.but the gears select sweet and dont jump ,I changed the oil thinking this would stop it, and there were no metal filing inside the oil it was quite clean.but it carried onAny advice? airwolf Posted October 27, 2007 Report Share Posted October 27, 2007 is this big money?it can be ive had 4 gearboxes to date and got a quote from vw for 1500 quid that was for box an fitting was xtra so i got it rebuilt and that cost me 550 quid and it went a again and again gearbox 4 has bein built 2 twice at 350 a time hope that helps you Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
