gargoil
Ok I need help from someone in the know! What kind of difference would I get from the 1600 GTi engine if I fitted a ported inlet manifold with a larger throttle body without modifying the engine management? The reason I ask is I`m enquiring about getting one from a group N polo rally car cheaply. may not get it as I`m just finding out if the guy still has it! Would there be any point in sticking this on? He also has/had a ported/polished inlet manifold as well for half the price and I`d just get that as it`s half the price if there was no great benefit from the larger throttle body! I`m planning to get fast road cams in the near future and i`ve already ported/polished the head!

tdwindustries
well i am no expert but throttle bodies make a huge difference to a Golf GTI, so I guess its the same on a Lupo style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
FluxCo
you sure the throttle body is bigger?i got one from a lupo cup car and its no bigger than my 16v one....but!i got pitstop development to knife edge dewedge and enlarge the body itself, it now gives mucho better throttle response check outhttp://www.pitstopdevelopments.com border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" />see the edges on the tb, see how sharpe it is?and the pivot, they have grind away the centre of it to allow better air flowdrop bevais or the lads a call for prices, i am well happy with mine
