  1. Hi all, Recently I had to remove my gear knob from my VW Lupo 1.4 Automatic in order to remove the centre console. Whilst putting the car back together, however, my gear knob button is jammed about half way into the gear knob and out; when installing back onto my car the button is jammed in said position and thus not allowing me to change gears in the car. Has anyone else had this issue before and knows the solution/do I need to buy a new gear knob? I'm unable to find any information regarding the Lupo specifically online, but all of the tutorials online show the cars "swapping auto gear knobs" which is helpful: but, when they release the selector itself the rod allowing the car to change gear needs to be pressed down, whereas in the Lupo it needs to be pulled up in order to change gear. Many Thanks in advance.
  2. Greetings fellas I'm new in the tuning sector and I'd like to change my lupo's shifter for a shorter one but cheap. Any suggestions? Also, does a 00s golf fits in the lupo's socket? Hard to find a match on ebay.. Thanks in advance
  3. Hi all, I recently had the clutch replaced in my Lupo GTi and since then the gear shifter doesnt feel quite as positive going into first, third, fifth or reverse. second, fourth and six are perfect, the shifter engages with a satisfying click but 1,3,5 doesn't feel like the gear stick is properly engaging (although it does select fine and doesnt pop out of gear or anything). I have attempted to reset the linkage by locking the gear stick with a 5mm drill bit, and then removing the slack out of the linkage at the gearbox, but I can't seem to improve it... its as if I've taken all the slack out of the cable and it still needs to be tighter. Am I doing something wrong, or could the cable have stretched while the clutch was being replaced? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
  4. is there anyone out there that can tell me what the gear linkage part is, iv got a 1.0 lupo which only selects 3rd & 4th, need to adjust the linkage before i maybe look at the gearbox, if anyone has any pics for helping me that would be brilliant, if i cant get it to work after this im gonna end up putting it up for sale, 2 youngs kids, not practical but i love it
