  1. Are these the budgets Scoob?.. Why ya getting rid of your FKs?
  2. Thanks for the heads up
  3. It's like a "love hate" thing yeah? Have ou got Lenso's on yours Scoob?
  4. Recently purchased my Lupo from a small dealer near Nottingham Was well impressed when I went to view! Drives smooth, the interior is spotless, and the bodywork is in excellent condition for her age. There's a couple of scuffs here and there, but I intend to treat those with either some t-cut, or the local bodyshop down the road to get her looking good. One of the side protectors on the DS is starting to lift slightly, which is also rubbing on the bodywork so they'll be coming off methinks!.. Other 'near-future' mods i've got in mind include some lowering via coilovers. I'm yet to decide which ones at present, but bearing in mind i'll only being driving for the odd trip around town.. a budget set could do... Maybe some new alloys. The current ones are faaar too big and i'm going to need to do some serious arch work to keep them on).. But no... new alloys for sure Have no decided which ones yet, but polished rims do appeal so we'll see what comes about..
  5. Can anyone confirm if these are the ones in question?.. Anybody got any reviews for these budget coillies?..
  6. Here's some dude on gaytube using compressors.. defo worth using for this type of job.
  7. Gotcha.. so you could maybe at a later date alter the ride hieght if you wanted, to put putting the adjuster back on.. (bit long winded obviously but at least the options there)
  8. Reckon you'll need compressors mate, that thing could 'boing' and take your eye out! I'm looking into doing the same thing and you can get compressors for about £20... Halfords spring compressor
  9. Very tempted by these.. when everyone says "remove the adjusters" to get it lower.. is this an easy job?.. How low can you go with the adjusters in place?
  10. WHat coilovers are you getting Tigz?.. What kind of drop do you get with them?
  11. Soooo... throwing a spanner in the works.. whats the difference between a coilover kit.. and a normal suspension kit?.. Is it just the issue of 'adjustability'?
  12. moving along!.. Any recommendations where to purchase alloys from?.. any good websites?
  13. When you mean "poke", do you mean "sticking out from the arches" kinda thing? Is there anything illegal about the rims sticking out beyond the arch?
  14. Yo!.. Been pondering the new wheels for my Loop, and would like opinions on "what looks better".. a small 13" deep-dish rim.. or the larger looking 15".. Have tried looking on a couple of sites, lots of 15" to choose from.. but 13" alloys seem to be less catered for..
  15. I'll be getting mine ordered soon, but shall be leaving it to a local garage to do.. when it comes to tnkering with the things that make the car stand up, i'll leave it to a pro..
  16. Hurding us back to the point hehe.. but yeah, my loops only going to be used for the odd trundle about town, and days out.. no point forking out oodles of quids on a top end kit.
  17. Fair comment.. guess i got a bit excited about the potentials and all that..
  18. No need for the sarcasm
  19. Hey everyone.. just purchased my new Lupo which i'm picking up in the week I'm already pondering what road to take when it comes to "subtle modding".. and the coilovers seem to be a priority. Does anyone recommend a particular brand?.. Website to buy them from?.. I've seen some FK's on the venomsport website for £300.. any good??..
  20. Hey everyone in the Lupo forum! .. I've just reserved my new Black Loop 1.0E ready for collection in the week!.. I've owned a few VW's in the past so it seemed like a smart move.. the cars a 2000 model, the interior is spotless, and she's got a few little scratches in places.. but it's all part of the fun correcting those to make her 'mint' again =) Anywho, nice to meet you all.. I'll post some pics up soon.. and hopefully start getting some "before" and "after" pics next weekend when i start ironing out the creases
