I have done mine today both bits they are in 2 bits very easy to do front cable was £3.78 back was £3.90 also put new handle mount on inside that was £1.89 this is with discount as i work in the trade. it seems it is the first half from the handle that gets kinked and goes floppy. thought i better do it before it goes for service on saturday and before the delars brake it. To do it take grill out but pushing in the 2 tabs at the top of grill. undo 2 10mm bolts that hold lock to front panel and the 30 torx that holds that aswell. unclip cable pull though front panel then unclip the black plastic joiner and thats the front section Rea section take handle of inside car unscrew philips screw take kick trim off undo 2 screw for handle mech then pull cable though. puting back is reverse very easy Mark

Just to let people know that the new Toyo T1rs are now out for Lup GTI i got 205 45 r15 at £62 each which is very good, and i can say they are fantastic best tyre i have had on lup and has transformed the handling, no more understeer in the wet so i recomend them to anyone who needs new tyres Marky

So what are we saying that we are better of getting 195/45 or 195/50 as i need 2 new ones and new toyos arnt out till march

Can anyone recomend a Decent VW specalist in essex that can do servicing as got my 3rd service coming up and not taking to vw as all the ones in my area are crap. thanks marky

i had same prob so i got new light see how it was fixed then broke old light out of spolier with out damaging the spolier, cleand it the just stikaflexed the new light in making sure had a nice seal round it. as i work in body shop and had nothing to do thought i try it and it worked and has never got damp or water in side. very easy to do Marky

if i was you i would take the boot trim off and glue the pipe end to the motor pipe where they join as it will just pop off again. mate works for vw dealer and that is all they do they dont put new one on as it is a design fault so just glue the 2 bits together also behind the N/S/R 1/14 trim there is another join which comes apart glue that aswell. try taking the near side rear 1/4 pannel trim off there is a join in the pipe that pops off. i had that problam when the jet frezzes or gets blocked it either pops the joint off the motor or the one behind the 1/4 pannel trim i super glued it up and has nether done it agian Marky
