  1. Do you have to have it so high when its lifted up?

The problem I've always had with them is that you cant drive around with it looking so high, so you may as well stick to coil overs! lol

    Looks great though mate.

no, i can have it sit where ever i feel :)

it isnt just up or down - i usually drive it with the arches just above the tyres - so i can clear speedbumps and crap like that - motorway i just drive with it down or with about 10psi in the bags for a bit comfort

  2. the compressor will only come on if there is a drop in the tank pressure perhaps there is a slight leak on one of the connectors ?

sticking a relay and switch in line with the ignition would solve this problem I've been thinking of doing the same.

    SICKK Ibiza fella

surely could nestle that nose a bit more in the floor ?

    a relay wont solve it.

all a relay will do is allow you to turn the power to the compressor......it will still ultimately leak air and will have to be switched on to allow it to fill again

if theres no leaks in the system the ignition live setup is best :) as the pressure switch will keep things pressurised

  3. Yeah it does leak but not badly, i've had it fitted for over four years now tho. thinking sbout getting one of those silent compressors coz the noise does your head in, well done on yours tho. its good to see more and more people using air ride. o yea, wen i sourced mine out, my kit had to be imported in coz no where in england did it, where do u get all your dtuff from??

my kit was supplied by Rayvern hydraulics in Cambridge

    :)

  4. sweet mate looks good, my SEAT is currently runnign air ride, just wondering what your compressor is wired into? mine is on ignition live, wanna change it tho coz its hard to watch films and that as the compressor sometimes cuts in, annoying, tempted to wire it through a reply so i can turn in on and off manually, what set up u got?

mine is also ingniton live, the reason that your compressor is kicking in is that you have a leak. my guess is that itll more than likely be from the pressure switch to the air tank (as its the tank loosing pressure thats causing the pressure switch to flick on thefore turning the compressor back on)

i would leave it as is and fit SMC stainless steel fittings at both the tank inlet and pressure switch outlet :) that should sort the leaking and stop the compressor firing up again

its a rayvern kit and a firestone compressor on my ibiza if thats any help

changed my mind lol bought an audi a3 20v turbo lol :shades:

  7. yeah, it goes well but just spent 700 getting little things sorted on it. the amp had been wired straight to the fuse box and had melted a few wires, the starter motor was bent and touching the exhaust, and battery was about to go up in flames! not good

the amp was wired direct to the battery...in the boot... the starter was brand new it was the other way round the manifold was veryclose to the starter (as anyone will tell you theyre actually polo gti manifolds so have to be bent slightly to fit the lupo) so might have looked like the starter was bent but i cant see it, batter was fine also was only 6months (ish) old!!!
