Sorry to hear about the accident but my temperature gauge just sits on 0 too, has done for a while now. the fan still kicks in when it needs to. i think its just a sensor that needs replacing, or so ive been told before

i had the exact same problem but with a lupo. i first noticed it by driving up a hill, it seemed to fill my passenger footwell with water, was like a paddling pool at one point. So i just put a load of towels down and put the heaters on full blast so they where only blowing into the footwells to clear it all out. seemed to sort it out after about an hour, then just dried the carpets and it was alright. there was a lot of water in mine though, it was running down behind the dash.

aah right nice one. might have to get some of them and give them a try, their only cheap. you know what size youve got? (Just assuming you have some) or whats needed?

how do these bolts work? i could do with getting some if they'll sort out the camber on mine, didnt think it was that bad untill i checked the inner edge of my front tyres the other day lol

Done a search.. all that seems to come up is people trying to buy/sell gti spoilers. was wundering, what sort of spoilers are out there for the lupo? been having a look about and the majority of them seem to be the "double" ones, which i arent a fan of http://www.nicedeals.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=717 like that one. what others is there? theres the ones off a GTI that i think look fairly nice, is there a different one on sports or anything, or arosa's? or whats been done that looks alright? Sorted. Got it vag com'd and it came up a fault on the gearbox sensor... got it changed and its sorted everything just replying to it, so if anyone gets the same fault and searches they know the fix. cheers everyone for the help

really could do with some help, dont have a clue where to start looking for the earth. anyone at all have a rough idea or anything? because im clutching at straws at the minute. thankyou

been told to check the earthing for the gearbox sensor, because that might be affecting the speedo and fuel gauge. anyone got an idea where the sensor earths to? because apparently it shares a point with the fuel gauge, which would explain why thats been acting up too. Cheers.

i had the same with mine, was under where the ECU is, the drain holes where blocked up with leaves and stuff. just cleared it and ran the heaters on full blast to clear the water out, fine now lol. made my car smell like something had died in it for a while because of the damp lol

pretty sure they did them in 1.0's only ever seen one though, and it was on auto trader a few months back. mines a 1.4, so yeah, they deffinately do them theres acrtually 2 white 1.0L's on auto trader at the minute

aah rite cheers. so it could be just the clocks? or is there some sort of speed sensor in the gearbox? or where is the wheel speed sensor located?

anyone else have any sort of idea what it might be? turns out its just completely ggiven up on me now, all the way home from work i had to judge my speed through cameras by the guy in front. any sort of help would be much appreciated

how much did it cost you to get yours sorted mate with it being the ECU? just incase its that? Also, you know where the plug into the gearbox is or anything? going to check over all that at the weekend, make sure its not just come lose or anything

Over the past few days my speedo has just been completely cutting out on me, going completely to 0 when i could be doing.. say 60. every so often it comes back to life and works for abit then drops right off again. ive also had it where it like "Wavers?" about abit, say im doing 30.. it will drop to 15, then to 20, back to 15 etc... anyone heard of this problem before? or have any idea how to fix it?.. because from what its doing it looks to me asif its some kind of connection lose somewhere, but im not entirely sure where it might be. are the speedos electrical? or are they mechanically driven? thanks. edit: ive got a video of it on my phone, ill put it up when i find the cable for my computer
