3 button key fob, help needed !!!
mickbane replied to mickbane's topic in Car Care, Maintenance and Mechanical
i cant drill a hole because when you take apart the three button fob its only a front and back piece put together unlike the 'two button' which has a top and bottom section like the gti key. rite i've managed to get the key together now and tried to programme to my car but although it starts the engine fine it doesnt work the central locking ! tried to programme a few times aswell.. -
well i've followed the 'how to for key fob' changing but my problem is i'm changing to a 3 button fob but cant fit my chip into it ! as it wont close when i insert the chip from my old key? from what was said in the 'how to' section i thought the three button fob was same as the two but it isn't, any help much appreciated thanks

thanks for advice, still havent taken evo subframes off so need to have a proper look at runners allready on seats etc. fitting different seats is a proper pain in the ass as iam finding out style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" /> although need some different ones as the gti seats hurt my back on long runs. just had a thought, what about using universal subframes? anyone had any experience with these?
-
does anybody know if their is an alternative to using recaro subframes ( as their abit expensive). I think you can use adaptors for recaro seats so that they can be fitted to cobra etc subframes! anybody know of this been done? and parts needed? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />

well i've got some recaro seats out of an evo 7 gta and want to fit them in my lupo. But for a start i'm not sure wether evo recaro seats can be fitted into any other car? anyone know. Anyway, does anybody know the part no. for seat runners/rails or subframes for recaros to be fitted in the lupo. Are they the same as those used in the polo? Also i cant find the name of the seats, (look like recaro 'style') auction i won them from: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=230067346556 i know they dont tilt but was going to take rear seats out if i can actually fit them. any help much appreciated. currently got these seats sat in my room and i've noticed that they are identical to recaro 'style' although they dont have inflatable lumbar support or extendable seat cushions. so if anyone knows what they are style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":coffee:" border="0" alt="coffee.gif" />

mostly just after market seats, but some oe seats have the same seat base as the aftermarket ones. -

rite well figured it out for myself style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> mite seem obvious to sum, but phoned recaro today and found they do the best price for subframes to fit all of their seats, in my case it's recaro 'speed'. Not cheap though £140 specifically for the lupo though(price includes vat+delivery) and thats just for one side, although come with all seatbelt bits etc. So defo the best option unless you want to hack your seat to bits style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" /> -
