  1. Hi there does it have remote locking? If so i'm after the interior sensor/remote receiver from the headlining... Cheers Rob
  2. Does it have remote central locking? If so how much for the 'convenience unit' ? If not no worries.. Cheers Rob
  3. Tried yet again to re-snyc the remote key and no joy. I'm now thinking my 'convenience unit' is k-nack'd as when i plug in a fault code reader it will read all areas of the car apart from the 'remote locking' area where it tries then says 'LINK ERROR'. Does anyone know if i can find the unit under my dash and find a 2nd hand unit with the same VW part number will i be able to get it up and running? Will i have to use VAG-COM to set up the replacement unit? Cheers rob
  4. Just one with the remote locking buttons, the spare is just a plain key.
  5. Hi everyone, would be grateful for help on this if possible... Got a 2002 Lupo Sport and the remote central locking stopped working a couple of days ago. When you press the 'lock' or 'unlock' button on the key the red light flashes about once a second, i'm pretty sure this used to be constantly illuminated before but i may be wrong?? The car will lock and unlock fine with the key in the door. I've tried replacing the battery but no change, also tried various methods of re-coding the remote locking part of the key but without success The owners manual states that keys may become out of sync with the car if the button is repeatedly pressed when out of range, and describes a process of re=syncing them by doing the following: Press the unlock button Within 1 minute put the key in the door and lock or unlock the car manually. Can't get it to work. Is my remote part dead? Cheers Rob
  6. Hi all, I suppose its similar to the Polo Gti comment on here, blue smoke on start up. its been puzzling me really. Its a Sport 100hp and has only just clocked 40k miles. Had one woman owner from new when i bought it 8 months ago and full VW service history. Thing is it only seems to happen about 3 out of every 5 times i start it up, once its warm there's no hint of smoke at all. I've serviced it myself twice, the last time just 2 weeks ago (new oil + filter, air filter, plugs all from VW) and it didn't smoke for about 5 days. When i've serviced it i've noticed oil on the air filter thats come from the breather pipe into the airbox. Maybe i'm just in denial but i can't believe it will be worn valve stem seals already...?! It does go through a bit of oil, prob need to top it up with about 1 litre per 2k miles. Anyone got any ideas? Other than that its a beast!!! Rob
  7. Only got one pic from my phone on the day of purchase: (hope the link works) I'm a bit of a boring standard guy to be honest, tempted with some german plates but for now thats about it. I learnt my lesson modding my old golf: It looked cool but the handling was horrendous and rubbed in every dip! Each to their own though, i'm just a bit boring! Rob
  8. A nice cheesey Hello from me to everyone on here, just got myself a Lupo Sport 02 plate. I have had loads of cars over the years and a few dubs along the way. Up until the Lupo I was rolling in £200 Polo Coupe (93) for 6 months or so, it did its job but pretty much drained all enthusiasm for cars out of me! I am ridic pleased with the little Lupo, it feels so solid and new, comfortable and so far, its using less juice than the old Coup... Even my girlfriend likes it! Anyway just thought i'd say hi Laters dudes
