  1. just got home from picking it up, i'm suprised at how nippy it is.. just handed the keys to the wife and waved her on her merry way for her first drive and to get me beers!! I would like a go of a GTI now, think i'd be sold and end up getting myself one!.. As this is the wifes car and comfort is a must for her, i've got to think carefully as to what suspension to opt for to lower it, wheels on the other hand i'm spoilt for choice, I have a set of Audi 80 wheel trims which i'd planned on using on my Edition1's steelies but never got round to it, so may just get steelies for now and bang those on, but on the other hand found this pic and thought hmmm nice! ATS Cups
  2. I'm quite pleased with it, just popped up at the right time as well, we'd planned on saving more money and going for something newer and a Lupo wasn't even in my short list of cars, really looking forward to driving the little blighter on saturday!!..
  3. How do everyone, I've been on this forum for some time, never as a Lupo owner though, never posted either, well just to sell my parts, wheels mainly Been a long serving Mk2 Golf owner since 1996, but sold up a year or so back as i'd got into motorbikes.. Anyhoo, the wife needed a new car as the Leon Cupra just costs too much in fuel, tax and insurance and it needs a lot of work done come MOT time. Just pure coincidence I saw a Lupo on a forecourt near me on saturday as it had just come in, I thought nice little motor for "the wife".. went and had a gander on wednesday, walked away as the new owner, traded the cupra in too so its cost me pittance, the wife is happy with "her" new car job done Not sure how we'll find the transission from a 180bhp Cupra to a 74bhp Lupo, but at the end of the day its gonna save a shed load of money, which is what is most important. Plus I have my GSX-R for my speed kicks I thought i'd got rid of the modding bug, but found myself once again, drawn to all the forums and looking at alloys and thoughts of lowering it!.. Must admit, browsing through images, the Lupo looks tough when lowered with some nice phat wheels, i've had umpteen BBS splitties in the past and I am NOT going there again then again, the wife keeps reminding me that its her car.. she wouldn't notice if I dropped it a little and slapped on some 15's But for now, its staying standard, its a 2002 Silver 1.4s, 2 previous owners, 63k on the clocks, totally and utterly standard, had them replace the timing belt, tensioners and water pump just for peace of mind, so picking it up on saturday when I finish work.. Cheers Russ
