Did you remove the CCM Ben? Any joy?

The auto elec removed the fuse and said drain was reduced significantly but not enough to make the battery last for 24 hrs. I was wondering if removal of the CCM unit would cause the existing drain to go completely. In other words something within the CCM is still being powered by another fuse and thus the faulty CCM is still draining the battery even with it's main fuse removed?

Thread hijack from former owner! John - Did all the drain stop when you just removed the fuse? Or did you have to remove the whole unit to rid the car of the drain? Reason I ask is I removed the said fuse and she still drained

defo not the dimmer blank dash with no needles moving! Cheers for the earth info.

Hi all - the clocks and dash board have completely stopped working on my 1.4 tdi. The only lights that still work are the airbag and indicators. Anyone else had this problem? I suspect a dodgy earth but need a dash wiring diagram to help me and my mechanic get it all working again. Ta Rich

Hi all My electric windows only work sometimes off the drivers side double window / central locking switch. They go up and down perfectly when they do work so I reckon the mechs are all sound. The passenger window works perfectly from the passenger side switch. So I'm suspecting a ****ed drivers side switch. Anyone know if these switches are on any other cars in the vw / seat range or am I gonna have to visit the main stealer.. Thanks

Don't think it's a battery issue as it'll turn over for ages just won't start.

Hi all - Tried to start my car after a week left standing over Christmas and no joy. The starter motor turns over for ages but the engine doesn't kick in all the happens is the oil light flashes after about 15 secs of turning . Also - the coil light doesn't come on and go out like it did before Christmas. Can anyone give me some pointers as what to check? Thanks Richard ps there's loads of fuel in it too!

I tried this tonight and the full beam bulb got so hot it's melted the plastic lense. Looks like I'll be getting a new headlamp after all. Anyone got one for sale? Drivers side. Thanks Rich

Yep, I'll not be modding my car to much but I've seen one with a black front seat badge and it cleaned the front end up superbly.
