Hey guys Hope you all had a great Christmas! Was just reading all the messages about tyres. I ran 195/45/15s on my Lupo and found Continental Sport Contacts to be very good. I had considered Toyo's but a friend in the business told me to avoid them because they were quite soft and would not give good wear. I have been running the original Bridgestone Turanzas on my Polo (205/45/16) now for over 20,000 and the fronts are only `half-worn` (have now swapped these to the back). I used to always run Bridgestones until I switched to Continentals on the Lupo and was very pleased with them. I think I will stick with the Turanzas when they need replaced on the Polo though as they are good in the dry and wet and seem to wear well and evenly. Anyway, I suppose all I am saying is that while the Toyo's might be quite cheap to buy, you might end up going through a couple of sets in the same time that you go through one set of another brand.
