  1. Hi Thanks for the comment..... no immediate plans to visit Dr Jabba and boost up to 150bhp. To be honest, worried about insurance and resale and I will probably trade it for a new Polo next summer if they bring out a bigger TDI or a nice GTI with a DSG option 8)
  2. Thanks guys.... 1.9 (100bhp) is a sweet engine and suits me down to the ground. My last Lupo was a 1.4TDI and it was fab but I just didn't think that engine would cut it in the Polo - need a little more oomph! Want to do something with the front grille and maybe get some new ICE. No other plans for the time being - gonna concentrate on the Lupo after I pick it up this weekend. A
  3. Collecting the Lupo on Sunday...... pics to follow! Wanted to check the pics of the Polo would post. Cheers!

  5. Hey! Thanks for the replies - I've been lookin at a 1.4S in Tornado Red the same age as my Polo with low miles. Just need to find out if anyone has experience of the wee auto and if it is any good! Cheers, Ally
  6. Hi all Looking for some advice here. I am about to buy another wee Lupo to complement the Polo - other half just can't drive anything with a clutch and manual gears so I am looking at the Lupo automatic before my gearbox gets completely knackered! Does anyone on here have a Lupo auto? Or know if they are any good? Thanks! Ally
  7. Hey guys Hope you all had a great Christmas! Was just reading all the messages about tyres. I ran 195/45/15s on my Lupo and found Continental Sport Contacts to be very good. I had considered Toyo's but a friend in the business told me to avoid them because they were quite soft and would not give good wear. I have been running the original Bridgestone Turanzas on my Polo (205/45/16) now for over 20,000 and the fronts are only `half-worn` (have now swapped these to the back). I used to always run Bridgestones until I switched to Continentals on the Lupo and was very pleased with them. I think I will stick with the Turanzas when they need replaced on the Polo though as they are good in the dry and wet and seem to wear well and evenly. Anyway, I suppose all I am saying is that while the Toyo's might be quite cheap to buy, you might end up going through a couple of sets in the same time that you go through one set of another brand. 8. Hi everyone! New polo person here but I still really miss my wee Lupo style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> Anyway..... back from holidays now and looking to have a meet between Christmas and New Year. Anyone else available? Or want to suggest a date, time and place? Cheers!

  10. Hi folks! New to this! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Former (2) Lupo owner and current Polo owner. When/where is there a Glasgow meet? Interested in coming along..... Cheers! Al
