Whats up wth good old K+N had them on a few cars and they always seem spot on.....Guessing there a simple fit.

Yep thats the one although just got and email back from him thanks for the intrest im afraid i've put all the pictures on ebay of what i have if you look at the rear quatre panel its got a dent in apart from that there no otherdamage the car starts and drives,im afraid there no service history with the car and im in smethwick im not intoday but if you want to see the car your more than welcome Did send ne back saying i thought it was the bumper and wing with damage.Weird

What sort of cost would you be looking at to replace these. I know the wind is ALu so not going to be cheap. Just an idea would be good. cheers

For some reason if I go on a modded insurance policy its cheaper than a normal hot hatch. I don't understand either. Anyway for my golf gti which I've just sold I put on an induction kit to save me money. But apparently the lupo is better with standard airbox so my question is any idea on what simple and cheapish mod I can do so I can go on the modded policy and save some money. Otherwise I'll jus have to risk telling them its got an induction kit. Cheers

Yep with adrian flux, just think they get a better discount on modded cars. Was the same for my golf gti which I've just sold to swap over to a Lupo I can pay an extra £56 or fit and indcution kit and they then owe me £15. Yep I find it stupid too. So if induction kits aren't really worthwhile, any other cheapish mod I can do straight off just to put me on the modded policy.

Just checking insurace on a Lupo GTi... Same thing as what happened with my golf for some reason its £130 cheaper if the car has an induction kit on it. Not sure why seems mad to me. But anybody got them on theres and which is the best one??????? Ot they not recommended.

Gees an upgrade to 5 to 6 must not have been cheap..... Seen a good 5 speed one and all 6 speed ones are over budget but could have waited if there was noticeable difference. cheers for info

Found some more topics now thanks....Don't seem to be much in it.

Guessed the speed would be similar was thinking more how the gearing worked, its just that no reviews seem to mention the 5 speed but rave about the 6 speed one. Will do a search and have a look but only found one topic that weren't much help before.

Hi new here but am determined to join the fold. Just wandering if theres much difference between the 5 speed and 6 speed on the GTI. Seems earlier ones are the 5 speed although the 51 plate I'm looking at is a 5 speed must be around the crossover. Mu budget doesn't really stretch to a later model. Most of the online reviews all talk about the 6 speed box and don't mention 5 speed. So is there any major difference. cheers in advance
