  1. Went to my local dealer today - as you said above, £50 and a two week wait. **** to that! So instead I have just swapped the drivers lock with the passenger one. I'm planning to have a Cobra remote locking kit fitted in the next few days anyway.
  2. Went to open the Red Lupo yesterday - turned the key, door unlocked, key stayed were it was and the windows start to go down. The key had jammed in the lock, so took off the door handle to find that one of the door lock components had broken. It's a circular piece of metal but not a complete circle, if you know what I mean. I had a look in a Haynes manual for a Mk4 Polo (which has a very similar lock assembly) - they refer to that part as a 'coupling plate'. Has this part failed on anybody else's Lupo, and if so do you know the proper description for it, and the VW part number and cost? Cheers, Brian.
  3. QUOTE(Fran)hiya whats your name and where do ya come from style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />Hi guys. Sorry, my name is Brian and I'm from Fareham in Hampshire near Portsmouth (play up Pompey!) I'm up in your neck of the woods Fran, on a fairly regular basis as we have friends and family in Carmarthen.
  4. Hi there style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Thought I'd introduce myself. Just joined up after buying a Lupo last week to supplement our Polo 16V. The Lupo is a `T-reg` 1.4S (Flash Red) with air con and only 30k on the clock. Future plans include the usual stuff, alloys, lowered, spoiler etc. After only a week of owning it a couple of little gremlins have cropped up :x hopefully these will be taken care of under warranty but I will be searching the site and asking you guys about these in the next couple of days to see if they are common faults. That's all for now! Cheers! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="clap.gif" />
