  3. seen these for sale they are made by a company called raptor. described as 'VW Lupo German fully height adjustable coilover suspension kit. TÜV approved, excellent quality.'. any opinions. cost £336.17 which is ideal. any disadvantages to only being able to tweak the height? anyone got them? ta
  4. i believe they are not bulbs but small led's and so are very difficult to change. someone can correct me if im wrong.
  5. can someone post a picture of this streched look vs the standard fitting tyre lol. i want to see what all the fuss is about...
  6. yeh you're lights look fantastic. are you going to do anything to the indicators? also will it get through an m.o.t....
  7. i was just browsing atm. basically http://www.`custom-wheels`-`ri...a`-line.jpg , http://www.`custom-wheels`-`ri...s-2003`.jpg (far too expensive though lol but that look), or maybe http://www.`custom-wheels`-`ri...urismo`.jpg . must be priced good too though and 8x15... really like those first amg look ones though! heres a good site http://www.`custom-wheels`-`ri...oys`.co.uk/
  8. 8) . i can live with having to upgrade the bulbs. so are the venom units just the same idea i.e. just a black ring in the unit or is there more to them? basically could you tell the difference lol
  9. so anything between 25 and 37 should in theory be ok?
  10. cool. so you put the lamp in the oven to enable it to be pulled apart? does the lamp performance suffer at all? would the heat of the headlamp when in operation not ****** the new paint on the plastic ring due to heat? any pics?
  11. how do you guys go about searching for alloys? are their any good sites you can spend ages just looking over? i am looking for 8x15 and they appear to be more difficult to find than i thought...
  12. tigz i wouldnt know where to start... did you find a guide or something so you knew what to use etc? i would be willing to do it if there was a guide to follow or something so i knew how to go about it. john where did you get your units from and do you have any pics? cheers
  13. so if i go for a higher et can it work the other way i.e. the wheel will rub on the inner side of the arch as it moves away from the outside part? does that even make sense lol

    de locked

this is quite common to be done across the vag range. im sure it would be possible to just change the lock to a lhd european version. surely someone has done this?
  15. anyone got in.pro's website or similar?
  16. altern8 thanks for that answer! sounds like the 195/45/15 streched is the way to go...heh. blackrat i presume since your car is catching slightly as it is i should stick with an et25 and not the smaller et20 as that would simply make the problem worse? or am i understanding it wrong?
  17. cheers for the pics - thats a nice looking car. is that standard wheels you have on it? i would be fitting 15's so i presume it would look lower still? so basically its either funtech or fk for coilovers and gmax for a standard springs and dampers setup? thanks. p.s. can anyone post me links to the websites of these firms as i am having difficulties finding them :-/
  18. so to conclude i should get 8,0jx15 wheels with 195/`45-15` tyres? is there any advantages/disadvantages to a streched tyre? what offset should i be looking at ideally? thanks
  19. i have seen front smoked headlights somewhere for the lupo but cant seem to find them. how much were they and are they fully legal?
  20. according to the loop brochure it appears that the tdi lupo is `15-20kg` heavier than the sdi. maybe their is a reason?
  21. thanks heaps guys! arosadan do you have any pics of your car with the gmax setup? those coilovers are appealing though... one question however. the car is a tdi and taking that gmax suspension kit as a good example it says it is only fit for the 1.0/1.4/sdi. would this be a serious issue as i realise the tdi engine is heavier than the petrol engines but not really the sdi?
  22. i may be able to strech to £400 at a push. however if i could get a good spring and damper set for much cheaper id be a very happy chap! tigz what set up are you speaking of for 400... come on guys there must be a setup that can get me -`60-70mm` for cheap and decent quality. how much for a cheap set of coilovers?
  23. looks good tigz but not low enough for me. the car will be out of warrenty anyways so... i want people to notice its been slammed. i really like the look of your car as low as it is atm but i wouldnt be going THAT low (too many speedbumps). ideally i would like `60-70mm`. is their any good but cheaper coilovers out there yet?
  24. thanks. i would definately be going lower than 40mm. just wanted some advice on any well known setups people know that work. so i believe the eibach kit would not be low enough...
  25. thanks paulbin style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> . was just for ideas
