  1. what is the earliest slot available for this(if there is still a slot going)

    The first car will run at 10am. If the two guys with the Porsches arrive nice and early I would personally like to have them run first.

    We can probably fit another 8 cars on top of the ones that are already pre-booked :)

    If you fancy coming down but need to be on and off the rollers relatively quickly PM Me with what time you can arrive and I'll see what can be sorted :)

    Cheers, Al.

  2. I need a late slot for this, after 1pm preferably due to a clash with my wife's vital hair appointment, so will have to turn up later and bring Stan and he doesn't like being restricted for too long.

    If I remember from last time, I went on nearly last (after lunch) anyway. Will that be Ok do you think?

    That shouldn't be a problem at all Iain! I'll make sure yours is the last to run.

  3. Im not sure mine even needs a chip as i have the early ecu. Im just curious with this chip malarky.

    It's not physically possible to Flash the Marelli ECU fitted to the Lupo's. The chip is a neccessity.

  4. You could always use a K&N Apollo or a Pipercros Viper? They'd all do the same job and give very similar results.

    We had some really good results with a K&N Apollo in the past. :)

  5. ...but the entire point of BBS 'modulars' is that they can be driven, driven hard and repaired, not polished and bought out on Sundays in summer only when it's dry and sunny.

    [duck] :rolleyes: [/duck]

    Exactly! But they do look fantastic as well, meaning they are:

    * Light weight

    * Super Strong

    * Relatively easily Repairable

    * Easily Customisable

    * Spare parts are easy to get

    * Look Fantastic

    * Can be used for hard driving on the B-Roads!

  6. usual scene bbs ****.

    BBS are far from ****! The reason BBS wheels have such a good reputation is because of their ability to create pretty much the best made alloy wheels in the world!

    Part of the reason for the BBS RS being such an expensive wheel is not just down to it's looks but is also down to the fact that it is a completely modular wheel in which parts can be replaced / upgraded. Of course people see the second hand values of £1000-£1500 on a set of Refurbished BBS RS's but when you look into the amount of work and the expense in parts alone to get them to such standard, it's no wonder they go for good money!

  7. This would be good fun to go to!

    Shame i live up top of scotland!

    Wouldnt expect much from the 1.0 beast!

    You should put up the results of the day so we can all have a look ;)

    As long as Ade (our IT guy) gets his Ass into gear, we should have the results up on our website a few weeks after the event :)

  8. Right guys, We're looking to have the rolling road started for 10am so would like to have everyone here by 9am-9.15am to make sure all the paperwork needed to be done before hand gets sorted nice and smoothly.

    During the rolling road day, the workshop will be active and there will be one of our workshop technicians working on customers cars, so please if you are walking around the workshop at any point, pay attention to cars which may be moving around for your own safety.

    The cars going on the rollers will need to be taken round the back of our building and parked up after filling in the correct paperwork where they will be taken in and onto the rollers through out rear workshop entrance.

    Each car will be given 3 power runs on the rolling road and a Laminated graph will be produced for you to keep.

    After the power runs the car will then be driven off the rollers and handed back to the owner inside our workshop for them to drive out and park up around the front of our building.

    A quick note worth mentioning: If your car has ABS/Traction Control, You will notice after the power run the ABS/ESP/TCS light will be illuminated and showing a fault. This will clear after a few miles of driving and the ignition being turned on and off.

    The reason this happens is because the Rear wheels will be strapped down and not moving whilst the front wheels are delivering the power.

  13. I wouldn't recommend fiddling with the actuator as they don't quite work in the same way on the TDI PD engines as they do on the 20v Turbos. Plus adding extra boost without extra fuel could potentially lose you power (Incorrect mixtures and all) and as the boost has already been amended on the remap, you could potentially be putting the turbo under more strain than it is built to take which will either A.) Kill it, B.) Cause it to run hot, increasing the intake temperatures
