  1. You are probably lifting off mid corner and taking the weight (thus grip) off the rear tyres.

Brake in a straight line, steady throttle through initial turn in and accelerate after the apex

Put your best (if either of those ditch finders could be classed as 'best' ha) on the rear.

  2. When you broke down how did you get going again? Just let it cool down top it up with water and carry on?

You say this happened a few weeks ago, what has happened since then? Have you done any more longer journeys? Have you had to add more water/coolant?

I doubt it's anything to do with the rad fan - this should only come on when stationary and above a certain coolant temp anyway.

As mentioned, when was your waterpump last changed? If it's broken then the water won't be circulating so the engine basically turns into a big kettle.

Thermostat is also a good shout - if this is stuck shut the radiator is taken out of the loop so the coolant never cools down.

  3. I think its to do with system that filters the vapours from the petrol tank. There is pipe work from the petrol tank to a charcoal canister in the engine bay and then to the intake manifold, with a couple of valves to control it.

The charcoal canister is a black thing just in front of the offside wheel arch IIRC. Look for a something electrical on this or on something coming from it.

I have been awake for a very long time so the above may be total nonsense
