Driving to my new job this morning and a nice lorry driver de badged my grill for me border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" /> and the offending object border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" /> the bolt and badge were both inside the bumper but the rest of the plastic is all over the motorway style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":angry2:" border="0" alt="angry.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":angry2:" border="0" alt="angry.gif" /> A new grill is about £40, badge support £20 bit of a bummer when I spent my last quid jet washing my car!! :roll:

Personally I think silver, it`s common because the colour suits the shape, although the GTI looks GOOD in raven blue. But it`s a personal choice style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

I get a slight amount of rubbing on the front plastic arch when on full lock could remove the arch liner but i dont want muck etc going up into the arch. The offset on mine is different from my mates Polo GTI I think mines is 35 and his is 30 the shop I got mine from said that it would fill my arch`s better. Never actually measured how low it went but any lower and the drive shaft hits the chassis leg (got the scrape marks to prove) When i put the other picture`s up Ill measure it style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> I`ve also managed to get another trophy, this time for best modified aircooled at the biggest Scottish show this year,Volksfling in Biggar there is photos on scottishvag.com in the show report bit I`ll put photos up shortly.

Sorry for not replying before this but my internet access has been severly limited since my work had problems with the computer and the engineer gave the boss a list of the most used internet sites and the top 6 or 7 were VW related!! Got a telling off but it didnae hurt style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> The wheels are 16" TSW catalunyas,saw another silver gti at E38 last year with the same wheels they suit the car well i think. I`ve done a couple of subtle things to it since and I`ll put new pics up soon for a game of spot the difference style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> THANKS for the comments.

As a member of Scottishvag.com as well I thought I`d pass this on. Having been to other mega meets I know that this will be a cracking day out. Venue for this Mega meet is the "Raceland" Karting complex off the A1 on the outskirts of Edinburgh.On Sunday 30th of July 2006. On the day we will have an Endurance karting race for 16 teams each consisting of 5 drivers.For those who don't know about "Raceland".It has both indoor and outdoor circuits.We will be using the 930 metre outdoor circuit with the 70mph twin engined pro Karts. Also we will have a show & shine competition.The usual raffle with various prizes and also a seperate raffle for which tickets will be limited and the prize in this will be a VW car. We are putting out invites to the likes of the XR owners,RS owners and also the Retro car club to see if they'd like to enter teams in the Karting and take part in the other activities. Costs will be posted very shortly with Scottishvag paid members getting discounted rates for the Karting. The raffle will be the usual £1 a strip but,the car raffle will be £10 per ticket.Raffles are open to all who attend. Seperate area for stand cars and also parking on site for over 160 cars. Full catering facilities and toilets on site also. Prizes for 1st,2nd & 3rd in karting,Same for show & shine and also other prizes being presented for various other things. All profits made from this event will go towards club funds which are used to enter shows,purchase prizes etc and also cover our web costs.

My entry form for this show has just come through the post! Here is some general information.. The Scottish VW owners indoor parts mart and car show is being held at BATHGATE SPORTS CENTRE, BATHGATE. The centre is situated on the B792 Bathgate to Torphichen road. If coming via the mate exit at either J3A OR J4. IF COMING FROM THE M9 ITS J4. The sports centre has ample parking and a cafeteria. The show will cater for all VW enthusiasts and will include show and shine classes with a trophy and prize for the winner of each class. The show is being supported by various VW traders and clubs. Childrens entertainment will take place at various times during the day. Club stand plots are 5Mx4M and cost £20 this includes the addmission of one car and two persons. Anyone want to put a stand together dont know how many would fit (4 I think) I`m going in the show n shine and have to send my form back but I`ve made some foto copies just incase.. It`s agood wee indoor show wi a wide variety of VW`s from old beetles \ campers to modern golfs and 1 LUPO and counting. There is space for a clublupo stand we need to phone the organiser to give him an idea of how many are coming.I can`t camp out cause I`m going on holiday late sunday night.My bro and a few of our mates are convoying down, we are leaving Falkirk at 8, we should be at Strathy park at 8.30 where we are meeting mates aswell there could be as many as 10 cars maybe more if cars are out the bodyshop in time. Anybody up for a convoy??

There is a VW show at Biggar this weekend,and club GTI has their national day at Muirkirk on the 26th of June, track action and show an shine and some traders.
