  1. That is brilliant! Thanks very much - the back window spray has always ended up in the boot catch after spraying it - if it has gone into the wiring that would explain the wiper trouble.
  2. Hi all, I've owned my Arosa for almost 2 years now and it has been almost trouble free. However, a little while ago the rear wiper stopped working for a time. Soon after it started working again (of its own accord), the front wipers would turn on as I turned the key in the ignition - whatever setting the wiper stalk was on. The wipers were going and would only stop either: as I turned a corner; at a random point in the journey; or only when I turned the engine off. Obviously this has been a major problem - I was going through a lot of screen wash! A mechanic got the front wipers to work properly by removing the fuse for the rear wiper as a quick fix. Since I wanted the car to be in full working order - rear wiper included - I took it back when I could do without it. He fitted a new switch for the rear wiper and it all worked perfectly... for a whole bloody week!!! He has had to take the rear wiper fuse out again to stop the wipers staying on permanently. Does anybody have any ideas to fix the wipers properly? Has it happened to you? Any help would be much appreciated Cheers Rich
  3. YES!!!!!!! That's what I'm talking about! Photos are much easier to load than I realised - awesome. Hope they're useful 4 u now. Cheers Dicky
  4. Yep, that included the gaitor. Here are the pics (hopefully): Still giving me this message "You have entered a link to a website that the administrator does not allow links to" even though it now shows all the pics in the preview - where do you copy the img bit into? - I've been doing it into the "insert link" part - otherwise they don't come up as pictures. (Had to delete pics from this to allow me to post )
  5. The stupid bloody thing won't let me get the photos on - which bit is the link u have 2 use? The pics show up in the preview but it won't let me add post with them in. Anyway, Price was £25.34 inc VAT from VW dealer. Not cheap, but I'm glad I got it. I think this Part no: P V6X0 711 118 FH GS Hope this is useful Cheers Dicky (If anyone can tell me how to get the photos on, still happy to post them - they're in photobucket no probs)
  6. it'd be really helpful if u could. Sounds good though - I didn't think they'd be secure enough but if they are that's great . What brand have u gone 4?
  7. Hi, when i bought my mk2 arosa, the gearknob was a wreck too. I swapped it for a lupo sport one which looks really smart - definitely improves the interior. I'll see if i can find the receipt to check the price and get a photo up soon. Hope that's helpful.
  8. Cheers, that's really helpful. Hopefully I'll be able to get it done within a couple of weeks.
  9. how can you get 6 x 9 speakers in the parcel shelf? the shelf is all curved. I'd like to do it too - any pics??
  10. I've just had to replace mine with Kenwood 5 and 1/4 inch ones - £25 the pair and quality is definitely better . I'd be happy 2 recommend them. I got a mate who has a garage to fit them tho cos the originals are riveted in!!
  11. Hi everybody, my wiper blades, especially the rear one, really need replacing and I was wondering about getting the aero wiper type. Does any1 know the part numbers I need. Is it a job u can easily do yourself? I know the standard thing is to fit polo wiper, but i remember cardaft saying that a passat estate blade saves you chopping the end off the blade. Are they as easy to swap over (and as cheap!) If anyone has fitted the polo/passat wiper themselves, some advice would be really helpful. Can you get aero front wipers as well?? Any good?? Cheers Dicky p.s. when using the rear wash-wipe, is it normal for the screenwash to end up in a pool in the boot-catch area? Design flaw or is there something wrong with my car... ?
  12. Those alloys look really smart! Definitely right decision to paint centre caps too.
  13. Hi all, sorry I haven't been on the forum for a month or so now, just not had the time. However, I have been thinking about things to do to my Arosa. I was wondering about a sports centre exit exhaust system - what's the best system? Are they going to cost an arm and a leg? I don't want anything deafening or too low to the ground and I 'd like it to be a fairly straightforward swap. So, what do you all think? Anything you know would be helpful, so thanks. I'm planning to replace the door speakers with JVC ones very soon and will hopefully get the Seat mudflaps ordered in the not-too distant future. Thanks Dicky
  14. It's on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks 4 ur help
