May have found the fault! the holes for the camber adjustment are out - which is putting strain on the cv joint I have the part number which is stamped on the strut - could someone with the same set please post there's so I can see if there right They are FK highsports

another update!?!?!?!?! exactly same thing happened again! looks like the CV joint has gone again!?! urrrggghhhh!!!!!!!! car is really doing my head in. I could under stand if the car was really low, but its sitting slightly lower than standard?! Have ordered another cv joint for the garage to check up on whats making this grinding noise

Well...... Found out the drive shaft had pooped its self! so managed to get one of my dads mates (who owns a garage) to fix its cheap .........BUT...... there is still this grinding noise happening when going round right hand bends???? Also when traveling at slow speeds it sounds like something is loose? this was happening before the driveshaft fell apart too.....

My fella has been to pick the car up this morning from town, and found when you engage it into gear and release the clutch there is a humming noise like nothing is connected. Also found the gear linkage (you can see when you open the bonnet) seems loose?! like the nut on top has worked loose

UPDATE :( :( :( Car is kaput! set off from traffic lights.... went to change into 2nd gear... clunk then nothing..... It will go into gear but when you release the clutch it doesn't bite...

My bf fits most of the things on my car, with the coilovers he got his mate to give him a hand as he has a lift etc... more easy to do - but he asked to see what the other members on here thought 1st as he's had a look but couldn't see anything obvious, Many thanks NFBR will get him to have a look and see - I'm sure he's checked all the bolts but best check!

Originally it was the drive shaft touching the chassis on the drivers side, as it was too low.... but with it being alot higher now I can't see anything?! The size tires are the originals 205/40/16..... I think! lol It sounds like something grating?? and can feel a vibration through the steering and on the passenger side

Right I have recently fitted Fk's, and a garage to sort the tracking and camber out, they had to modify something to sort the camber out - but found the car was too low for where I live. So they refitted brand new lower arms for the ****e job they did on the car, and heightened the car..... but every time I go round a right hand bend there is a grinding noise???!!! it never did it before and at first thought it was rubbing. But have checked and no signs of rubbing anywhere......... sounds like a drive shaft may have gone or wheel bearing???? it sounds horrible Any other ideas on what it could be Sara

Hes not even thinking of touching the car.... he said to him as soon as the finance has been cleared and proven, ONLY then will he take a look and sort out a deal

cheers, will see what happens! at the total other end of the scale and the last option was going to be my bf would lend the money to him, but they would have to sign up a contact by solicitors etc.... so it would cover my bf if anything would happen! but as I said that would be the very very last resort!

I think he already has to see if he can turn it into a personal loan but no joy.... its just they want to sort it all out asap but sadly the hp is in the way! he is seeing if he can get some money from family to pay it off early. He's my bf mate too lol

Hi, my fella has been looking at a new car but sadly the owner still has outstanding finance on it, around £7500 I believe. The owner really likes my fella car and would like to do a deal/swap. He hasn't got the money to pay off the rest of it, and is currently looking for a loan to pay it off, but with every search they say he's searching too much and they refuse him is there any way to transfer the hp over or any other options???

I'm not mentioning the name just yet as I am waiting for my car back! They didn't modify the struts though! they did the other part which goes onto the hub! so have got brand new ones off them

My dad went in and played hell with them! he spoke to the owner and asked why the brake light switch was off???? they made some reason for it, which my dad said there was No reason why you let the car go out like that! even in the state it was in!!! Found out they modified the suspension arm's (I think thats what they are called) because the car is now on coilovers and sitting lower than before they had to elongate the holes for the camber to be corrected?! So we managed to get some new parts off them, inc a free MOT (which I am asking for the money instead!) ALL the door parts and window to be re-fitted to a higher standard and in full working order, all the plastic clips they broke to be replaced

Nope the brake lights don't work! my BF found more stuff wrong! when the window goes down it catches all the wires from the loom in the door so doesn't go down all the way!! What a carry on!!!!! My dad went this morning to sort them out! they made a complete mess and not worth paying!

Needed a new window motor replacing and because I had coilovers fitted they had to modify the struts to get the camber right?! as my tracking needed doing after I had them fitted. Basically they made a mess of the car! Oh and I found out what the sensor is! Brake pedal sensor?!?!?!?! why would they remove that....... My dad is going to them tomorro to play hell!! and ask for the £190 I paid them for shoddy workmanship!

Hmmmm why would they be sniffing around that area????? I only asked for the tracking and window to be fix

Right finally got my window fixed buy a VW/audi specialists and everything works BUT!!! I have plastic trim and what looks like a sensor left over??????!!!! please can you shine a light were these go then I can play foook with the garage! Not a happy bunny! My fella is trying to put all the lower trim back on (as they couldn't be bothered! and found these parts which he never removed!

Just an update on this...... having my recent service done I asked the garage to take a look at the window, it seems to be the motor which has broken! so I manage to get a brand new one from VW as my bf mate works in the parts dept so got a few other things too

Well yeah its not to everyones cup of tea as you put it... but I like coffee 3M di-noc is the most realistic carbon vinyl you can buy and its expensive! I know its not real but 'looks' very cool when the suns out....... plus If I don't like it after a while I can remove it, simples! its ok JohnyBOY

Since the wing mirrors where looking poor, paint come off some bits, my fella has just recently been doing some carbon parts for friends and his car. We did these! Weather was rubbish so sorry for the poor pics. Going to do some other parts and also some FK coilovers should be arriving soon!
