Coming out of a car park!

Hey Guys. I sometimes find it difficult to put the car into reverse gear but most of the time it goes in perfect, it just jams on occasions also when taking it out of reverse it also jams on occasions and you have to give it a little preasure to release it. Is this normal to GTI's Anybody else experiancing a similar problem, any ideas what it could be? Cheers!.

Hey Guys. On a cold mornning my rear brakes seem to freeze up, i dont no if this is because of rust and when moving off they make a loud clack noise as whatever was stuck gets free. Anybody else experianced this...any ideas? Cheers!.

Hey Guys! When i switch the fans on i get like a really faint smell which i can only describe as chip pan frying oil like smell coming through the vents this happens everyday for a period of time then the smell disapears after awhile. Any dieas what this could be? Cheers!

Hey Guys.. Just thinking about changing the cambelt, car has done 49.000miles. What exactly needs changing when you change the cambelt? I have read the tensioners need changing..what are they..what do they do? What else needs to be changed to be on the safe side? Cheers!

Just general noise i guess..like the cambelt etc... I read about the motor winding..how do you no when it is doing this and what does it sound like?

Hey Guys... Starting my GTI in the morning, it starts off quite noisey, but then quitens down after 2-3 minutes. I usually let it warm up for awhile... is this best? Is anybody else's GTI noisey in the mornings? Cheers!

Hey Guys. On the left hand side of the engine bay near where all the hoses are thier seems to be an open hose tucked away undereath with nothing attached to it. Is this normal..? an intake for cold air or somthing? Cheers!.

On the engine bay at the top right and left corners on my silver lupo gti you can very clearly see welding marks which have been sprayed over. far as i no my lupo isnt accident damage, is this a normal welding from when it was manufactured? Can any silver lupo gti owners shed any light on this? cheers!.

That engine looks awesome.. If i went to the dealers and asked them for a polo gti rocker cover could i purchase one? how much would it be? cheers!

Hey Guys. Just need some advise on cleaning the engine, as my lupo gti doesnt have the cleanest of engines with oil and grease in various nuks and crannies. Iv seen some sparkling engines on here .. What would be the best way to clean the engine..any ideas please? Cheers!

Hey Peeps. Does anybody tend to wheel spin thier GTI inadvertently, i seem to be doing this alot. Also this is really annoying me why o why does my lupo GTI or lupo's GTI's do this.... Rite i move off from first gear into second gear it jerks kangroo's same from second gear to third gear, the only way i can avoid this kangrooing jerking is if i lift accelarater up ever so slowly. Is my car funked lol isit me or just Lupo GTI's in general do this? Thank you please.

Hey Guys. 1. My steering seems to be quit heavy, not as light as my astra sxi, is this normal? 2. Clutch and Accelerater vibrate alot feel gritty its not very comfortable, anybody no why it does this, is this normal? 3. I jerk the car alot, i dont think im use to the clutch and accelerater,i think im lifting my foot up too soon causing it to jerk, any tips on how to shift perfect? Cheers.

Hey Guys. Do Lupo GTI's make a grunt, like an induction kind of sound when you put you foot down? Mine seems too when you put your foot down it sounds great and yet it is perfectly standard, no induction kits or anything. Is this normal and does anybody no what makes this sound? Cheers!.
