  1. I am due for a pad and disc replacement on my 1.0 Loop as they were worn down around 4000 miles ago but i never had the chance to sort the problem out. I have a few plans for the lupo further down the timeline (engine swap, few other mods) so im thinking that since i am going to have to splash out now for my brakes, i should buy a better after market setup. Anyway, i have around 250-300GBP, and i have been looking at some brembo sport drilled discs and some EBC greenstuff pads. I really am not sitting tight on that choice so i am really open to any suggestions for the best brake/pad setup i can buy that will fit my 1.0. On the other hand i am thinking about a G60 brake conversion but i am not sure what kind of work this needs. I have found a 288mm brake setup (5x100), calipers, carriers, stub axles, drilled&grooved discs, pads. What do i need of the above (i will end up buying everything, but i'd just like to know if with that setup i coul go down to a local quickfit - for example - and get them to fit it for me?). Any and all help of 288mm brake conversions would be REALY helpful... I am running 16" momos btw (im stateing that for any brake clearance issues) Thank you!! Good day
  2. Hi, i am currently sorting out my i.c.e. for my loop E. i managed to succesfully install a 2 DIN dvd player which has been working fine for around a week or so. I am an absolute beginner with anything of this kind so i am on a lerning curve tbh! My problem that i would really want as much help as possible with is: I have baught a pair of 2000w 6x9s a 3000w 2 channel amp and a 3000w wiring kit. i would like to use this thread as an ongoing question base but after a couple of hours trying myself i have not been able to see how i can pass my red power cable from the engine bay into the cockpit. I really dont want to waste anymore money going to a local i.c.e. shop[ and getting them to install it as i have spent more than enough just buying the equipment. Anyway, going straight to the point. FIRSTLY could you please give me an idea or preferably some sort of illustrations or pictures as to where about i pass the power cable from the battery in the engine bay, into the car. i really did not manage to make any progress whatsover in the couple of hours i tried. SECONDLY, i am not too sure where i should connect my earth wire. there are two little "n" or "u" shaped metal pieces in the boot on either side (left and right) of the boot floor space. Reading the manual i assume that i am suposed to connect the earth wire to something that touches the metal bodywork correct? Are the points i am talking about correct? Or where is the correct/ideal place to connect my earth wire? And, THIRDLY, before i attempt again tomorow, are there any crucial things that anybody could tell me so as that i make sure i dont screw up with? I am very sorry for the long post and the long questions but i really would like as much visual and theoretical help as possible because i would much prefer saving 30-40 quid instead of watching it blow away.   3. um, ok, is there anyway of cheking when i go back that i actually have the correct keys, because the guy that sold them to me was not entirely sure...? if the latches inside are broken how can i get the radio out?? Thanks!
  4. Hi, I have baught a two DIN DVD player for my Loop but i am currently feeling extremly retarded as i cannot remove the beta HU or the slot underneath it (with the carpet in it, u know). I tries removing the dash infront of it but didjt realy get far. i then went to Halfords and baught the "removal keys" but i could not get it out. ontop of this the left side slot for the key seems to have a broken or damaged latch/mechanism now as i cant realy hear the click that the right side makes...! Please tell me what i am doing wrong and how i can just get those two f****** out my dash so i can watch my DVDs..... I have been at it for 3.5 hours today........! Thanks alot! Stathis
  5. Im currently steering a 1.0 lupo and the forecast is that i am going to have to reside with it for at least another 2-3 years. I have been asking around for 1.8 t conversions and cannot really afford any of the options that are available to me. I read the thread that sais the best starting block is the 1.4 bottom and head and then replace the internals with the gti ones. Now my question is, do 1.4 or 1.6 internals fit into a 1.0 block, or does the 1.4 head fit onto the 1.0 bottom end aswell? Where ould i fineaffordable forged pistons and any other sort of internals that i would need to boost either my stock "sized" 1.0 internals or any 1.4 or 1.6 internals that i could fit in. Any prices would be very helpful. I would realy appreciate any help. Thanks alot.
