Hey. IVe decided to purchase some hub centric spacers, more specifically, the kind that bolt onto the hub and use the normal bolts for the wheel to spacer. Can anyone recommend a set? I'm looking for 20mm on standard Bathurst's with rolled arches. I know H&R do them, but is it worth paying the extra dollar for the big brand names?
Thanks, mikey

New oem wishbones and drop link bushings. I didn't want the hassle of trying to replace the bushes separately, and I've heard a few reports of them being too harsh.

Thanks clayton. Don't worry, it's in good hands
Haha, it is a very tidy car. I remember seeing it on this forum years ago. I just didn't put two and two together when I saw it advertised haha.

I finally got a lupo GTI. It was picked up in Salisbury from its one and only owner (vworks41) It was a very clean and well looked after car.
The original owner had fitted painted and fitted gloss black teledials
- Janspeed exhaust, which I believe was the test car used for the fabrication of this exhaust
- gloss black mirror caps and door trim
- headunit from a VW fox (cant remember the model right now)
- colour coded intake pipe
- Brand new FK highsport coilovers
It came with mk5 golf GTI badges front and rear which i decided to replace with new original items. I have also replaced the wishbones, drop link bushings and ball joints with new nuts and bolts. A new drivers side check strap was also fitted. I haver cleaned the car top to bottom (and underneath) even though it was very clean to start with. Ive fitted new cambridge lights as well as fresh number plates. The car came with a stubby MOMO gearknob which was nice, but I opted for a new orginal item instead.
More updates soon.

I'm looking for a set of Bathurst's, preferably with good tyres (not the 50 profile tyres as my GTI is lowered) would need to be posted. They need to be in good condition and not in need of a refurb.
Cash waiting
Thanks, Mikey

I was finding traces of oil behind the engine cover on my GTI. I took apart the lid off the airbox and found quite a bit of oil in the airbox, around the throttle body. Does anyone know why this would be happening? I've cleaned it, and will have another look in a weeks times.
Thanks, Mikey

I got it all sorted. Thanks for the replies. I got a better penetrating fluid and a ballpoint removal prong.

I have new wishbones and ball joints ready and waiting for my gti, although the rear bushing mount for the wishbone appears to be stuck. I'm guessing that its corroded quite severely. I've been using a hammer and flathead screwdriver to hit the metal ring where the wishbone connects to the subframe but to no avail.
The ball joint is also corroded on, and there is no movement at all when trying to remove it. I have soaked both the wishbone and balljoint in WD-40 several times but I'm now out of ideas.
Any help would be appreciated

Ive taken off the teledials now. I always wanted a more standard looking GTI, so i purchased a set of bathursts. I also raised it up about 15mm all round. It rides soooo much better now Red grill piping has been removed also. Rear arch liners were removed, soaked, brushed down and re-fitted
