Hi, We still love driving our 1.0 AHT Lupo from 1999 on daily basis. We've grown to be very fond of it, and it almost is a modern classic, it certainly feels so when working on it. The decades old OHV design of the Skoda engine adds to that. First used in the 60s and needs special attention as is generates sludge rather quickly.
Work done: shocks, brakes rotors, shoes, rear pipes and all 4 hoses, brake cylinder, front wishbones and knuckles, head gasket, exhaust, alternator and belt. It already had a new radiator. I sometimes wonder, is it really really still worth it, but we love the Lupo and I love working on it. Parts are abundant and relatively cheap to get, new or used. Lupos are well built cars that can last long when treated well. And that is a factory tow bar you're seeing. Which we even use sometimes with a bike carrier.
Anyway aiming on keeping it on the road as long as we can.
