  1. No auto lock, 1999 Lupo AHT. At door unlock and opening of the door the interior light and fuel pump prim no longer work. Of course first culprit is the lock micro switch, however I took out the lock, cleaned and measured the continuity of the switch. Built back in, measured. Works as supposed. I then also shorted the contacts down where your left foot is (LHD - steer left), behind the covering. Where the micro switch leads to. And still no interior light or pump prime the either. It had some corrosion in the fuse box. Cleaned that off. Still no luck. I now suspect one of the relays , behind the fusse box, or corrosion on one of these. But - can this even be a relay that causes this, or is there simply no relay that has these functions? If yes, which one may that be? Thanks!
  2. Hi, We still love driving our 1.0 AHT Lupo from 1999 on daily basis. We've grown to be very fond of it, and it almost is a modern classic, it certainly feels so when working on it. The decades old OHV design of the Skoda engine adds to that. First used in the 60s and needs special attention as is generates sludge rather quickly. Work done: shocks, brakes rotors, shoes, rear pipes and all 4 hoses, brake cylinder, front wishbones and knuckles, head gasket, exhaust, alternator and belt. It already had a new radiator. I sometimes wonder, is it really really still worth it, but we love the Lupo and I love working on it. Parts are abundant and relatively cheap to get, new or used. Lupos are well built cars that can last long when treated well. And that is a factory tow bar you're seeing. Which we even use sometimes with a bike carrier. Anyway aiming on keeping it on the road as long as we can.
