Evening folks,
I am new to this club.I recently bought my daughter a 2001 lupo ,which is great bar the fact that the folding roof is not working.
I can hear the motor run when i press the button to open or close but no movement in the roof.
I have seen post on the net about the possibility that the gears inside the motor maybe worn and that replacement gears can be bought.
My question is..is it a straight forward job to remove the motor, I have taken the light casing down in the roof and can see the motor and from what I see it looks like 2 screws.
Also is it straightforwardto put back and change the gear.
Finally could I check the cables are ok without having to take the roof apart?
