  1. Those wheels had to go back becasue they were not the right size and were rubbing on my front brake pads.. So I went and got some Wolfrace Octane Racers instead which are much better quality and look a lot better in my eyes border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" />

    Black GTi

My partner followed a black Lupo GTi through Roche in Cornwall earlier today.. Anybody off here? That's 3 GTi's in Cornwall so far... I'm saving to add to the bunch! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wub.gif" />
  6. I took the wheels back and got some wolfrace high octanes, they are 35 offset and fit proper lovely style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" /> I wish I had the 1.8T! Mine just a 1.4 16v but I've got the Venom Lupo in my sig... I think I'll change it soon as I get some nice pics of mine.. Thanx for your help people.. Though I am still having probs with my drivers side braking.. Clanks when I depress the pedal and chugs like the disc is warped even though it's had new discs and pads 2 years running style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />
  7. I spotted a gawjus silver Lupo GTi on Saturday just gone on the Holbush bypass in St Austell, Cornwall.. I think it's one I seen in Truro a year back with black and silver Porsche wheels... That car made me want a Lupo! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wub.gif" /> I was wondering if they were with ClubLupo... Another local Lupo owner maybe style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" />
  8. My Lupo was recently serviced but the oil service indicator is on on the dash.. Does anybody know how to switch this off?
  9. I've got a Lupo 1.4 16v E and the brakes are shocking! I'm comparing them to my 25 year old XR3 though, and my mk2 golf gti's and a 20 year old XR2 and... Every car I've owned and driven! I had the discs and pads changed on the car about 500 miles ago and they have been non stop trouble before and after! Check that yours hasn't had a recall, it will be in the service history. Mine did and I'm going to chat to VW about soon because the recall was to do with the brakes style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  10. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":coffee:" border="0" alt="coffee.gif" /> I took the wheels back and got full refund In 'the book' the offset for a Lupo is 38, the new wheels were ET38 My VW wheels which are off and Lupo Sport are ET43 style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" /> And yep matey above you are right.. It's diameter of that bit that was the prob.. Anyways, Wolfrace are sending me some alloys with ET32 to see if that helps.. If the wheels don't fit I'm selling the Lupo and going back to old skool Golf GTi, I need simplicity! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
  11. 15" that's all I know, it had 14" sport wheels on before that and I've been told that the offset is correct..
  12. Ok so I finally got the fitting kit for my new wheels today, only bolts and shims.. So whacked them on as when I tried them last week the inside of the wheels (the hub bit) ground badly on the brake pads (front).. Anyway, it still grinds against the brake pad even with the correct shims, I got a spacer set but they were even bigger than the wheels and ground even more on the pads! The offset of the wheels is ET 38.. Is that correct for a Lupo? Has anybody ever had this sort of trouble?
  13. Thanx very muchly Did you mean 'motorSportworld'? hehe If so I found it and am making enquiries.. Looks like fitting my seats will have to wait style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />
  14. Cheers mate, could you let me know the exact one please, a link or something They have sliders on the bottom, I was thinking of weldin the buggers to the Lupo subframes! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />
  15. I've just bought some bucket seats off a mate, only cheap but being as both my seats have broken and no longer do the flip thing and let passengers in I didn't want to miss a bargain.. Anyway.. They have universal subframes on them and I was wondering if anybody else has fitted similar and could give me tips? Cheers

    Suspension

Hi people, I've got a max of £300 to spend on lowering my Lupo. I can't afford coilovers like I wanted (unless somebody knows different) So I'm left with a spring and damper kit or just springs. What should I get? At the moment it's standard 1.4 16v E with 15" alloys & 195/50 R15 tyres I want it as low as possible without scrubbing.. Thanx in advance style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" />
  17. Yeah that looks good, think I'll go for black on the drums because of the wheel colour, don't really want the drums to stick out.. The green looks great though, can I get that Foliatec paint in Halfrauds? If not where to? Cheers people.. Another thing.. Should I go all out and spend 300 smackers on coilovers or just get lowering springs? Would springs lower it like they say they should?
  18. If we all liked the same things it'd be boring style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":coffee:" border="0" alt="coffee.gif" /> It will be lower as soon as I have the funds.. Not sure what colour to paint me calipers n drums though...
  19. I got my Lupo some new wheels yesterday... From these... (for sale) To these.. 15" jobbys that were such a bargain I couldn't resist!
  20. Well I've had my Lupo for 3 days now, done about 60 miles.. It had new front discs and pads on Weds just gone (max of 200 miles ago) because of 'warped discs' and I looked through the history and it had the same this time last year also due to 'warped discs'.. That seems a bit strange to me... I was thinking it was something to do with the servo? They wobble when I put my foot on the pedal, well, kind of bobbles like it's not making contact and you really have to push it for an emergency stop.... Warped discs is ruled out being as they have been changed twice in a year for that reason! Help anybody? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />
  21. Well here tis, arrive yesterday eve and I whacked me double sub & amp in the boot asap... Now no boot room whatsoever! border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" />
