  1. so it seems it could be a 2-3 year only part

Pre95 mk3 no IMMO early mk3 has 6 pin IMMO box unsure if adaptable ? The cabrio and gti shared the 8 pin apparently

    even polo 6n pre95 no IMMO 95up some using 6 pin .

Hard to distinguish which models will have the pair I need I think just 98 lupo and 98 polo sharan different steering lock .

feeling like IMMO Emulator until I see the right car come up for breaking ..

The pin outs for all IMMO are here but don’t see how some could be adapted for the functions of wires on my harness 😕

  2. Apologies if wrong section

Hi I needed some advice and having browsed the forums unsuccessfully and most of the net hard to clarify.

Questioned making a post as  it may be embarrassingly simple but there’s a few here I felt like messaging, post may be useful.

Scenario: I have a January 2000 mk1 Arosa IMMO2 8 pin IMMO box ,lost key wanted to swap barrel and IMMO box from donor,

    2x donor Lupo’s 2000 early IMMO2 2005 IMMO3 both have a10 pin IMMO box

    10 pin 6XO853257 lupo

    8 pin 6HO953257B Arosa mk1

so my car is closer to polo 6n mk3 golf setup where as the mk2 Arosa may have the 10 pin harness like all Lupo’s ?

Early lupo has 7 wires running to 10 pin IMMO box and my Arosa has 6 to 8

my question is can this later board be powered from my harness ? Or is something important missing , which may be a foolish question.

and how many different generation of immo box’s are there as I’m in the hunt for the correct one from a polo 6n or mk3 I assume

Some steering locks do not have a f on the part number but look identical is this another issue I will run into ?

Many thanks clarification may be helpful to others hopefully.
