It has a rev limiter however it stops it revvving at 6000, and lupos normally rev to 7000+, so when accelerating in lower gears I can get the full potential out of the engine, the regs seem to fall off and it doesn’t continue to rev it falls to about 5000

Hi There, My VW Lupo 1.4s seems to have a rev protector on it, it revs to 6000, then cut seems to fall off and then rev back up but doesn't bounce on the limiter, Any ideas on how to remove it?
