Jason fresco lupo

Hi there new to the forum, 🙋‍♂️converting my fresco lupo next year to 1.8t have a few parts gathered along with the amk from my s3, I have a mk4 golf gti gearbox, question is how much do people cut off the shafts to make them work in the lupo with mk4 gti gearbox and inners,all help much appreciated
