A VERY small caravan LOL. I've just looked this up - The 1.0 will pull 650kg and both of the 1.4s, and the 1.7d will all pull 800KG But strangely, according to my research the GTI cant tow! I guess its due to the body kits and the such like. Does anyone have any idea as to why this is?!? Anyway - back to caravans! I've found this thing after not much looking, it weighs 750KG unladen, so you could just about tow it with 1.4 or 1.7 http://www.jcleisure.com/Go%20300.htm and also this http://www.springbankleisure.co.uk/specs.html And there could well be lighter ones out there as well! But my 1.0 couldn't tow the top one even with nothing in, and it couldn't tow the bottom one if it was fully laden. So maybe 1.0 Lupos arn't ideal for caravanning, but the 1.4s ARE!!

Yeah, I've got a tiny little trailer that used to be my dads, I think it takes about 400KG max. I'm not planning on taking up caravanning just yet style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" />

Hiyall I was looking at sticking a towbar on my Lupo. I know its capable of towing (it says so in the manual) and I was wondering if anyone had done this, and what sort of tow bars they had used if they have?. Also what do you tow, and does the car like it? Cheers, Dan.

Hey all! I just found a top gear episode where Jeremy's driving Lupos! Take a look, if you haven't seen it already! Its a bit of a way in, but enjoy!
-
groovy lol not quite what I had in mind! I kinda like the dog idea, though!

She's called Cate, don't think you could make a pikkie out of that tho style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Actually, the zombie ideas growing on me now! Perhaps with a "Grr Aargh" Caption or something lol
-
It would be a classic St. George type dragon, but if anyone else has any idea? She's also really good at drawing zombies, but I'm not sure thats really apropriate! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> It'd be unique I suppose lol

I plan on doing the paint job myself, so it shouldn't be too expensive, cans of paint are hardly really dear, are they?
-
It would probably be a dragonesque design, and I thought the best bet would be to use touch up pens and sprays from halfords. Can you buy templates that are the shape of the front of a lupo, because i imagine they could be tricky to make!
-
It definitely NOT going to become a chav car, no spoilers or dodgy body kits or anything like that, its a beautiful car already, why would I want to ruin it! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I was thinking about maybe some red checks around the front bumper (like checkered flag type) on the silver background. As the car has a red interior, I think that would look uber-cool, and I might continue these around the sides. Trouble is, I have no idea as how to even start going about this! Oooh, and I was going to ask a freind who is a brilliant artist do do a red and black drawing on the bonnet. What would we need to do to get that sorted? Cheers! Dan

I like A better, but I don't think they're worth the extra £300... so I say, go for B!

Hi all I've just bought a 2002 VW Lupo 1.0E as my first car whilst learning to drive, and I love it! I'm thinking of doing a bit of a minor custom paint job on the car to personalise it, any ideas? Talk to you all soon! Dan
