Thanks for the help, all sorted now, ignition switch needed changing!

My 2001 1.4 Lupo wont start, when I turn the key nothing really happens but it does make a slight whining noise, the radio etc all come on, I've just had the starter replaced and it still doesn't start unless bumped and then it seems to run fine. What could it be?
