  1. OK "sausage ", I'm sure in the world of mondeo ownership it can be hard to imagine that the " big thing" under the bonnet can be modified, adapted and completely changed from its original design to serve a differnt purpose but it can. My advice to you remains the same, stick to fitting coilovers or maybe even changing the odd wheel. Leave the bigger stuff to the rest of us;)
  2. OK, but what exactly do you want? I fitted a intercooler ages ago bk when it was diesel
  3. No I mean intercooler, I've removed the standard airbox any way. Well I'm guessing I'm not going to get any help here, when it's running I'll post a video
  4. Yeah, as the petrol makes more power now would the pipework need to be bigger to let more air in?
  5. OK, tbh I think you are out of your depth any way, stick to fitting coilovers;) Think I've potentially sussed it now any way, advanced the pump timing and it's coughing and trying to start
  6. Do you think it's struggling for air? The intercooler pipe work is pretty long P.s reverting bk to standard isn't really a option now
  7. OK guys, not sure why I'm getting flamed so bad here. One I have no idea what rc glow plugs are nor am I 100% on how the current plugs have been set up, what I do know is that there's a few relays and a mess of wires in the corner of the bay that has some thing to do with it. On the two stroke oil front I wasn't really sure how much it would need so I just banged in all 4 250ml bottles to my around 15L of petrol in the tank. Seems to me to be far onto the safe side. The reason I keep mentioning the lambda is that I no petrols need one but I currently don't have one.
  8. No I've converted my diesel to run on petrol but also banged a bottle of two stroke oil in to help the pump
  9. Why do you guys so easily presume (without even trying it yourself) that two stroke oil can do the job just fine. Hmm well now I know it doesn't have a lambda that rules that out. I'm not sure if the lift pump is supplying enough fuel?
  10. It was running pretty smoothly tbh, seemed to have no problem firing. It pulled well two just want to figure out what's the problem now. On a side note, does any one know about declaring this kinda of thing to the dvla?
  11. OK well we are going to have to agree to disagree, once I have it running again I'll do a video showing it but atmosphere I need help sorting it, my mates pretty much given up now
  12. We already though about the pump, we are running two stroke oil to help it. Pumps fine and we added the extra pump so it can meet the fuel demand. Glow plugs arnt on all the time they fire intermittently like spark plugs. I'm pretty sure this is just the diesel lambda not being set up for petrol
  13. Wondering if maybe fitting a lambda sensor of a petrol engine might solve the problem?
  14. We have added a extra pump (lift pump? ?) At the tank to supply to main injection one. Then my mate did something with the glow plugs so they do the spark plugs job. Didn't bother with the compression or any thing as should be fine as is.
  15. We converted the 1.7 to run on petrol. It was cheaper declaring a fuel change to insurance than a engine swap. It felt much quicker when it did run, guessing I've got a 50 bhp increase easy
