Hi guys. My heater blower isn't very hot. Its warm but not hot. Just wondering if anyone could tell me the temp coming from there vents on there car so i can compare.
Mines a 2002 GTI.
No engine temp issues.
Blower flap for heater is moving correctly.
Suspicions points me towards a blocked heater matrix.
Thanks in advance!
Man's not hot

Haha it still matters if it's trade insurance as to what you are actually declaring. If your calling them up or using an app and registering the car on your policy as whats on the log book but it's got a different engine, that's still illegal, even with trade insurance. I've had my trade policy for a fair few years, I have to sell a min of 8 vehicles a year. All cars MUST be legally declared, there's no exceptions to a traders policy. If you crash, your in the same boat as everyone else if the details are wrong.

I'm not sure on the sensor but i would get the car scanned to see what faults come up too. There's usually people on the the fb selling pages that can give cars a scan. There's a chap near me who charges £15 and comes to your house and scans the car with his Snap On diagnostics.

Thats mint!!!

Not surprised, looked a minter!
Apart from the fading to the top of the rear spoiler, it was in incredible condition. They are really underrated cars tbh.
I don't think anything will replace the lupo as the daily hack, it gets abused and just keeps on going.

The car is now sold

Leaving stuff sitting for long periods of time outside in the elements is usually what causes most of the damage. If they are left in a dry garage its usually fine. I've done the garage bit for years and never had any issues, you just need to religiously start and move the car each week. It's when a car's left sitting outside that problems start. Most noticeably the interior as you cant leave the windows open a little to let it breath. You get stuff growing and making nests lol.

They are all over the fb marketplace and start at 200 quid so going by the lack of info, I'd say £200

This is like some of the sale adverts that are about. No text just a picture and price ?
-
Tbf the savings to be had on these online sites makes it pretty hard to go and buy 100% genuine manufacturer items now, I used to about 10 years ago. They all sell top named stuff at a fraction of the price.
I admit, my shed of a lupo gets the cheapest of cheapest I can get ?, excluding oil.
-
There's a guy near where i live with a gti with one of those Lupo plates. I'll see what it is, dunno if the cars got any famous history.
-
I read that as any genuine filter not just vw. Is £6 cheap for vw one then?
-
Euro car parts have them for £3.58 with free delivery lol
-
Aren't those UP mpg figures a load of crap anyway? I can't see how in the real world you can get anywhere near that with having to rag the life out of it to get anywhere.
Yeah the tdi lupo's are miles better. Cheap as chips to run, cheap to buy. Who cares about stupid emissions. I would never buy a car looking at what it puts out. These tree huggers need to lighten up.

Can you adjust the gearstick throw/movement via the gear linkages in the engine bay? I'm sure you can adjust these. I've can on my Golf.
-
Also, their batteries are cheaper instore too. I bought a new one for the lupo on Thursday. £56 online with their code, down from £88. Instore £42. Lion branded ones.
The duracell ones on their site are £122, with the code they are £76, you go instore and they are on the shelf for £52 without using any code.
It's a shame they don't do tyres, I reckon they would be cheap

Mine come up at £12.08p on euro car parts with the code. It depends what offer they have on at the time too, you can get cheap than that.
Their oil at the moment works out about 35 on their Internet site but if you go into their shops it's again cheaper, its £24 and 28 quid. Same with 99% of their stuff, it's loads cheaper if you go in and get a price. The Shell oils and the other brands are the same, they are all 10 to 20 quid cheaper in store even when applying the discount on the net.

I had new disc's and pads fitted to the font of mine the end of last year, i supplied the parts from Euro car parts and got the garage to fit them. It was 1 hours Labour at £40 and the parts were £40, so £80 total.

Quite possible the best all round car I've owned. Sold it for an Audi A3 sportback, big regret.
Do you think your vRS was better than the Audi. This one is really fun to drive, It's got loads of space too and just a nice place to sit when driving it. The black headlining is lovely.

A lot of detail gone into this.. Good luck with the sale!
I think I've just found somewhere I won't be visiting for an MOT though...
lol, is it because Ashburton Tyres charge £50 for an MOT.

Blimey that must have taken a lot of typing. Took me 5 mins just to scroll to the bottom.
Nice car ? I have always wanted one of these
Yeah it took me a while lol. I think it's more to do with i can't stand reading adverts that are so vague, so it's made me put everything in this one lol. Another thing is leading people on and wasting peoples time with buying cars. I've had it in the past where i've looked at cars that people say 'yeah mate it mint', or 'you can eat your dinner off the engine bay', when in reality they are crap.
I would honestly keep it if i didn't have my parrot, it's a cracking car but too good for him to eat.

I reckon you could fit 50mm a side if its just on standard steel wheels
