  1. Please, do any of you boys know anything technical, or is at all just about go faster stripes?
  2. Not according to the Haynes website there isnt!
  3. Cant anyone help a girl out?
  4. Sounds like good advice, presumably there is a sump nut somehwere? Do you know what the replacement volume and oil type is please? I know in some cars the engine and gear box share oil, is this the case in a lupo, or are they seperate?
  5. Could someone be kind enough to explain how to check the oil level in a 1.4 gear box please?
  6. Thanks for your help guys. Just one last question though please. I got the AA out in the end as it was unsafe as 1st was impossible. He adjusted the gear selector and its OK now, but said there was a leak from the gear box and that the oil level should be checked ASAP. How can my OH do this? I dont think there is a Haynes manual for the Lupo. Thanks
  7. Not sure what you mean James, but I will have look under the gaitor and see if anything looks wrong
  8. If thats the case, what do you feel the problem may be? It came on overnight, really hard to get into 1st, sometimes you cant, so i start in 2nd, which is sort of OK, but if a hill start, YUK! I have had the pedal box and clutch done in the last 5K, so hopefully cant be that? Frightened to drive Loopy now
  9. Hi, I have a 1.4S manual, and first gear is very hard to select. All gears easy with engine off, but when running 1st is hard to get into, so much so that I have been setting off in 2nd. Recent clutch and pedal box replacement, so not that. Any ideas please?
  10. LR5A Soft Blue. Thanks Nicki!
  11. Hi Guys, how can I find out the exact colour of my lupo si i can get a colour touch up? On the log book it just says blue, but I know it must have some daft colour name.
  12. Might be a good idea to remember that using a phone whilst in control of a vehicle is against the law, dangerous and stupid. (and expensive in your case!)
  13. Can anyone at least tell me where the relays are please?
  14. Checked the locks as suggested, seem fine. Any suggestions anyone, please?
  15. I`ll check, thanks. But first time it was only the passenger side, second time both. And why would it happen several hours after leaving car? Do you know where the relays are?
  16. Thanks for that. No, everything seems fine. Locks work etc. The windows opening on their own can happpen several hours after leaving car.
  17. Anybody got any helpfull suggestions please? I cant afford £75 an hour for VW to look at it!
  18. Sorry, me again. I should add Ive done a search on here and cant find anything the same. I am aware that VWs have leccy window issues. Everything else, one touch etc, works fine.
  19. Hi there, I have a strange problem with my 1.4s. A few weeks ago, I got up to find the passenger side window down. It had been raining all night and everything was soaked. Put it down to a mistake. This morning, both windows down, again raining heavily all night. Cant put this down to a mistake, as it was raining when i locked up. I believe that maybe the electric window relays are letting water in and making the circuit. Can anyone tell me where to find them/it so I can check it out. Alternatively, someone may have experience of this and/or a better idea. Please help!!
  20. Can anyone help with an idea what this will cost?
  21. Hi there, I have been informed by the garage that my 1.4s clutch needs replacing, along with the cable. Can anyone tell me what this is likely to cost me? Thanks, Patsy
  22. Thanks fellas, but now I`m confused. I think its best to get it checked out professionally, what do you think?
  23. Hi fellas, hope someone can help me. I think I need to adjust (tighten) my clutch cable as my gears (esp 1 and 2) are increasingly hard to change and notchy. I dont think its the pedal box problem as it all looks ok in the footwell. Can anyone advise or point me to a previous thread please? Ive had a look on here but cant find anything that helps. Patsy
