  1. WNJ is the last part of the plate, but not often in chelmsford as I live on the outskirts and Laura lives in billericay and works in wickford at the mo. We went to harlow to pick our baby up, rare in these parts aren't they! I think that the lupo would not be far away at all, especially when wet or greasy. It much easier to 'learn' than the mini, I'm still getting to grips with pushing the mini, it always feels as though I'm going a bit too fast for the bend...wheras the lupo can be chucked in. Its a confidence, experience and driver skill thing I suppose. Very impressed with it overall...but you cant beat the whine of the supercharger and the bark of the exhaust! Thanks for the lovely words people style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  2. Couldn't be bothered to attempt to fix the bonnet release coz it decided to work when I tried!! Managed to change the sidelight bulbs (wtf VW) they were in real tight! I only put blue visions in for a slight improvement. For the trouble I caused the loop, it recieved a clean border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" />
  3. Hey guys, I got to drive the car this morning! Dropped Laura off at work in wickford and came back to the Hanningfields where I live (Chelmsford), so got to give the car a bit of stick on some country'ish roads.....and my findings? What a great car!! I've had a 106xsi (1.4) and two 106 gti's and this is just as fun! Great punchy motor, which seems to have much better low down power than my old 106 gti (had to get above 4500 to really get it moving), I much prefer this sort of power delivery. The handling is great, softer than the 106 had, but still loads of fun (and better for Laura's confidence) I would go so far as to say it's more fun than my mini, sure its not as fast, but it feels like it because the car is so light. I find the handling on the mini almost intimidating because understeer appears at any given time when pushing it (probably down to the waste of money standard run-flat tyres style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":angry2:" border="0" alt="angry.gif" />) And I love the way the lupo looks, gets some great looks from people with approval. So overall I give the Lupo GTI five thumbs up! Now I need to go out and attempt to fix the bonnet release style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> well hey.......all great cars have their foibles style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
