I'm not too worried about buying with high miles as my neighbour is a mechanic, so I could even have a complete engine swap from a doner car if for some reason it conqued out on me, and any other age related failiures would only cost parts to fix.
Any opinions on buying a high mileage tdi? I've found one for £1300 wit a fresh cam belt and one owner. Seems like a great price if Lupos stand the test of time. I know plenty of people who own other 1.9 TDi VWs that are double that and run strong.
Hey! I'm hoping to trade in my heavy fuel guzzling 1.6 Golf for a Lupo TDi when I can afford to. This looks like a great place to find out what I'm looking for! It seems that in the case of Lupos, less is most definitely more.
