    Help?

Haha no problem, I don't think my local garage has vagcom if I remember rightly its just a general diagnostic machine. Are VW themselves expensive or a vag specialist in the Midlands? Considering I need a new MAP sensor, New injector seals, rocker cover gasket, sump gasket and that part for whatever is causing this not to mention I have a loose steering rack (can pull it towards me slightly, no idea how to fix it) lacquer peel etc its starting to worry me a bit so if the diagnostic is expensive need to rethink my plan.

    Help?

I think I will have to do that, I didn't want to jump in the deep end but considering its done 101k and my clutch cable being stretched attached to an original clutch I thought I'd just replace the whole thing. I will pop down to the local garage see if they have a vagcom unless there is a kind hearted soul with one in the Leicester area? Haha

    Help?

Where would I find one? I do know a bit about mechanics but this is the first time I've ever touched VAG lol.

    Help?

I've had it plugged in hence the replacement of so many parts. Came up with a general misfire fault no pinpoint. That's why I'm stuck

    Help?

How could I check? There was oil residue in the inlet ports on the engine but not much however the intake and throttle body was caked and had almost no oil in the engine is that what the metallic pipe is? Breather? Any help appreciated.

    Help?

This weekend I decided to see why my car was misfiring under constant speed. Upon taking off the engine cover one problem was iminant the throttle body was covered in oil, after removing it looking inside the intake manifold it was caked in oil along with the MAP sensor and the pipe located in the middle of it, I cleaned all of it the best I could due to not being able to get a new map sensor, replaced oil and air filters as everything was covered (air filters weren't but were old) I assume this is piston rings, my engine has done 101k. Upon refitting the engine warning light is still on and still a misfire. What would be the best thing to do. Its had new sparks, ht, coil, filters, oil, timing kit, headgasket. Is there a fix or should I invest in a new engine as I can't afford another Lupo. Thanks
  7. Ahh that's good to know, unfortunately I won't be buying some for a while. Discovered the inside of my intake manifold and throttle body is sludged in oil so looks like the piston rings have gone. mods will have to wait.
  8. I only have 6n steels at the mo
  9. I am not too sure yet most likely the bottle tops as they are cheaper I just want something a little different haha
  10. Prefer the Lupo looks cleaner.
  11. Awesome now to get saving haha thank you.
  12. Hello, upon scouring the internet I have read that E30's had 4x100 PCD and 57.1 centre bore does that mean the wheels are a straight swap? Thanks!
  13. Haha ahh yes I know what you mean in the town its usually not too noticeable but on motorways it can be scary especially up hill hahaha
  14. That sounds fair and more clever than my idea. The cars last owner tried but got no code but if it costs me nothing might as well try I guess...
  15. Is it under load or at high speeds like mine? Think before I rip my loom out I'm going to replace my coil pack and leads I think the plugs were done recently as it had a service so...
  16. Also where is the best place to get said coil pack? Thanks
  17. Thank you, I've already saw a couple I want to do haha just refraining from buying bits until I fix the issues haha.
  18. Yeah it does flash then stays on and then some times I'll turn the car off and boom nothing? Should I check all the points you mention for corrosion before replacing the injector loom? Thanks
  19. Forgot to mention it has been serviced recently by the previous owner too. Thanks
  20. Hello, I recently brought a 2001 Lupo 1.0e the owner said it had a misfire problem he plugged it into diagnostics and gave it a run and both live and post data shown only misfire no pinpoint he said it could be a break in the injector loom wiring so brought a new loom (he is my old mechanic tutor from college so trusted his judgement) but before I go ripping wires out does anyone know what would cause it to periodically misfire and lose power whilst on motorways mainly but if you turn the key off and on it instantly clears. Any help would be super appreciated Also anyone got a top left door card plug, mines vanished and can't find a replacement Thanks Billy
