  1. Mine is the AUC 1.0 engine - my mechanic didn't say anything about a pre-cat so just assumed it was the cat attached to the manifold. Id need to see a diagram of the exhaust to be sure but thanks for the reply!
  2. Hi - So I've had the my 2003 1.0l e Lupo a few weeks and the 'emissions' light came on. Took it to my bro in law who is a mechanic at Newcastle Audi, he plugged it in and it was a Cat related code - lean flow perhaps? Anyway it has been making a slight blowing noise so he suggested that is could be a manifold or gasket problem. Ive sen that manifolds can go on this engine - its done 96k - so took a look around and this is where I am confused... He says (and I totally believe him) that the manifold and cat on my car are a one piece item - fair enough - but I just cant find anywhere that sells replacement one piece parts? I've found separate Cats that seem to fit my year of car, but I've had zero luck finding a combined manifold and cat. He ran a quote through the Audi system and it came back at £415 for it - no way am I paying that! Car seems to run ok - bar that slight blowing - haven't had it long enough to see if ite effecting my mpg or not. Can someone help me out by shedding light on my exhaust system design and where I may be able to get the parts. So far Euro Car Parts and ebay have turned up nothing... Thanks Ross
  3. Thanks Daniel - i see your car has some of the 14" steels on? What size tyres did you go for? im keen on a set of them or the 'proper' G60's in 15"
  4. Hi - just got myself a Lupo for the daily commute after a few years away from VW's. I own a 2003 1.0MPI E (So poverty spec ha ha) in black with some battered 15" Fox Multispoke alloys. All in all its a decent little thing. Getting the full works at the garage tomorrow, belts, water pump, full service and a general going over so hopefully that will keep it good. I think its nearside rear shock is cattled as it doenst half bang when i go over bumps - may take that excuse to drop it a touch. Whats a do-able drop that wont result in me being unable to navigate car parks? Front arch gap looks huge - was thinking a 60 /40 set? Anyway plenty of time for me to do the searching of the forums for ideas Cheers
