if u use a hammer u will make it uneven and the paint will flake off ur best bet is 2 use a scaffolding pole and wedge it under the lip (put a rag between it and the arch) and bend it tht way it minimises the chances of the paint chipping and cracking oh and mind the wood on the outside (rag between it also) and it should work tht way thts how i do it worked a treat on my last car (a clio) iv seen so many ppl make a mess thru using a hammer at the end of the day its ur car and ur decision theres various ways but it u want it done properly id take it to a pro coz damagin a lupo if it not done rite is a crime and ul be put in lupo jail style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

well i was thinkin i dont wanna touch a conversion i wanna keep it clean so it can become a collectable in say 10 years time its that athricite colour so its quite rare or so im told wot ca i do to keep it clean and valuable but modify it i was thinkin coilovers but im afraid i need cheap ones (dunno wot ones or wer to get them) and a BMC CDA and a decat exhaust and manifold and im tintin the windows in 3 weeks time style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> if anyone can help with tips and suggestions please do!!!

hi well iv only got plans 2 lower my car via coilovers (not sure wot ones yet not got much cash so something relatively cheap) and tint the windows then its all under the bonnet hopefully a BMC and then who knows im not sure i want to keep it clean but i wanna lower it i had graphics on the comp 2 print off at the graphics shop dunno yet tho any suggestions on wot to do would be helpful style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blush:" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

its a greyish blue colour its really nice (well i think so) but then im bias coz its mine and u have a PM too (took me a while to do it but its sent lol) bjblyth.

yeah its a killer but i had to have it i waited 2 months to find my perfect GTI i paid through the nose for it and want it 2 be perfect i clean it everyday and even clean under the arches and in the engine every 2-3 days which is sad but im so proud iv never seen another GTI my colour before style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> im gonna put some pics on wen i get a chance hopefully soon

I have a lupo GTI 6 speed and the thing is seriously lacking power redlining it does 80 in 3rd. 90 in 4th. 115 in 5th and 6th well it doesnt wanna go any faster than 115 it just doesnt move!!!! i raced a VTR and it kept up on a straight road and a clio 1.6 kept up too style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":angry:" border="0" alt="mad.gif" /> there is defo somthing wrong wif it my friend has a 5 speed and he does 85 in 3rd and has claimed to get bout 135 in 5th surely there must be a problem wif mine coz there was another standard gti 6 speed that raced my friend and the 6 speed kept up so why cant my car go over 115?????? I need help Im gonna buy coilovers soon but dont wanna get them if the cars a heap of sh*t

hi all im new and im young and have problems!!!!! i have a 54 plate lupo GTI 6 speed and it seriously seems 2 b lackin power my friends 5 speed GTI seems 2 be much faster and he claims 2 have done 135 were as my car does 115 in 5th and has little to no power in 6th even a saxo VTR kept up wif me im ragin need mucho helpo!!!!!!!!!!!
