  1. Have a high pitched squeal/ squeak, when pulling away slowly, as I build up speed it disappears. Also now and then there's a slight rumble from the rear, wheel bearing do you think? Cheers, gaz ...
  2. Great, sorry to ask but I'm relatively new to all this, ask me something t4 related and that's ok! Anyhow, how's it removed, and is an extra cup holder easy enough to get hold of ,thanks, gaz
  3. Morning folks, is it possible to remove the coin tray and replace with another cup holder? Cheers, gaz
  4. Cheers mate. Each to their own hey.
  5. Thanks for that guys, well there passat winters then! At least I know they'll fit, I'll pick them up in the morning, was a bit worried the et was not right, thanks, gaz
  6. Just about to but some genuine 14" g60 style wheels, 6j et 45, will these fit, cheers, gaz
  7. Just done a 7 mile drive from cold this morning....perfect, no stiff pedal at all, very strange????
  8. Right, I've been keeping my eye on this for a few weeks now, the pedals getting really stiff, kind of a crunch when it gets to the floor, the pedals not got lower, just stiffer, when the cars cold, it's fine, seems to get worse as the car gets warmer, changing gears seems stiff too, does this sound like the pedal box is slowly on its way out. Cheers, gaz
  9. Just looked under the car this morning and there's 6 or 7 little spots hanging on the bottom of the engine, all in different places, sure it's some kind of seal/gasket, could be a sod to locate it, gaz
  10. Definitely not radiator related the dripping is working its way down the back of the engine, can't see any split hoses either.
  11. We'll after two weeks of ownership I'm working my way through the list of faults, I was aware of most things as I used these things to knock the price down, had a full service last week all good no faults apart from a tiny coolant drip, had a pressure test anyway and head gaskets fine, I've placed a tray under the car on the drive and there's half a mouth wash cap full come out in two weeks, only seems to do it when engines been on a drive and warmed up, mechanic who done the service seems to think it's the inlet manifild seal gone? Anyone else had anything similar, gaz
  12. Thanks for that, mr carmats looks very good, think I'll go for that, by the way how do I put some pics on ? Cheers, gaz
  13. Hi all, had the seats and carpets shampooed today, they came up a treat, so now I'm looking for some decent mats so not to get the floor filthy again, ideally want some with the holes in for the clips, been looking around and there's hundreds to choose from at all prices, any one recommend anything, or have a good original set for sale. Cheers, gaz
  14. No, can't see any cracks, if I turn the engine off and sit in silence, let the cluch in and out, there's a click just as the peddle is about an inch off the floor, the peddle itself sits at the perfect height, the next day I'll sit in silence let the peddle in and out and theres no noise at all! I think I'm driving myself mad. As I say the clutch and peddle box were done 9000 miles ago, so I'll just carry on driving and see what happens, nothing more I can do really. if it gets worse would the peddle drop. Cheers, gaz
  15. Surely it can't be it had a reinforced box fitted 6 months ago, lifted the bonnet whilst I got someone to press the peddle, the noise is not coming from the peddle area.more the clutch itself...... Just took the kids to school this morning.... No clicking whatsoever, once again gear change is sweet as a nut, very strange.
  16. Right, here we go again! Thanks for the replays with the locking, onto the clutch now, got the lupo last week with bags of receipts, the most costly one being a new clutch and pedal box being fitted 9000 miles ago, I even called the garage who fitted them to make sure it was genuine, it was. They told me the cluch and reinforced box should probably see the car to the end of its life, I was more than happy with what they told me. My problem is, as I release the clutch there's a clicking noise, I don't know if it's anything to worry about, as the gear change/selection is fine. I hope I'm worrying about nothing as surely it can't be knackered after only 9000 miles? If there was a problem with selecting the gears then maybe, but all seems fine, just wonder why there's a "click". Cheers, gaz
  17. Cheers mate, I'd appreciate that, gaz
  18. Looks like it's one of those hard to find things, I'll get the window sorted and leave the c/l for a while, only had the lupo a week, and I've already had a complete new exhaust system fitted, new wipers, and it's having a full service on Friday! The car was got as a cheap runaround, good job I didn't pay much. Gaz
  19. No, he wasn't specific at all, it was one of the things I used to knock the price down. If it's gonna cost too much, then I'll live with it for a while, the drivers side elec window works fine but the passenger one clicks and nothing happens, just wondering if there's any link to the c/l
  20. 14.s to be specific, many thanks, gaz
  21. It's a 1.4 16v with electric windows, next to the door pin on the drivers side is a small red light, I presume this is connected to the central locking, the guy I had it from told me the c/l hadn't worked for years, thanks, gaz
  22. Put the key in the passenger door, turned the key, locks that door only, just the same as the drivers door, turn the key, locks that door only, same with the boot. Bit of a pain going round locking all three individually. So putting a new battery in the key would be a waste of time too. Surely someone out there has had the same problem and put me on the right path. Cheers, gaz
