^^ummmmm what?
-
i just put them back on after hair drying them some more and they seem okay, a short drive will tell whether something is still getting in, if so i'll see if i can seal the bit where the wiring goes in
-
I have condensation in the tail lights of my arosa, they are the standard lights. I've resealed them around the edges with silicone and tried to dry them out with a hair drier but it just seems to create or spread the condensation out even more! Put them in the airing cupboard overnight too but to no success, this is the second set of tail lights I've bought and they're just as bad as the last!
How do I fix?

Was in Whitney this afternoon and saw a lowered black Lupo 1.4 with a twin tail pipe exhaust. Wasn't in my Arosa i was walking

Yeah that's a good shout then I'll do that, so how do I connect a aa battery to them?
-
But I've tried 2 different units, both were the same and they're both pretty much brand new and in my fiesta st they fully work
-
OMG I turned the volume up stupidly high and now all the speakers have kick started and now work wtf!?
-
Wow okay new problem, apparently I wasn't doing it right because the left speaker didn't have a working connection either even though it works, I plugged the non working tweeter in and not the speaker and it worked until I plugged the non working speaker in then it stopped, I tried putting the balance all the way to the right to see if any sound was coming out at all and the tweeter was very very faint and crackly and then when I put the volume up I could still faintly hear it and it stopped, now can't get the speaker or tweeter to work. So confused! Might take it to a local electrician
-
Just read this now and i've since tried the meter on the tweeter and it's not showing any signs of life, it was strange when it happened, it's all standard gear, original speakers with pods and i haven't touched the wiring when i put the HU in, just swapped the iso connectors from the oem tape player it came with to my sony one, so looks like a made a good call with the speakers, happy i haven't just wasted 33 quid!
Thanks again Skezza!

It's completely standard wiring and speakers, it was a sony xplod head unit,
When I turned the volume too high I heard a slight crackle then the speakers just stopped. How do I test the speakers and wiring with a meter then? Not good with electrics you see!
I've had an edge sub before and it was perfect, I've had bad experienced with fli and other makes but edge seem to be able to take a beating and the reviews were pretty much tip top. I'm obviously going to have the own grill over the speakers so I don't have an ugly orange speaker on show
-
Driving home and turned the music up a little bit too loud for the speakers i guess, so the whole right side of the car which is the tweeter and door speaker just crackled then stopped altogether. I've read it can be a HU fault but i changed it for another one i have and the same problem happened, so i'm guessing this means it's the actual speakers that have bust.
If anyones experienced this it'd be great to share your experience so i know it might not be anything else.
In the meantime i have ordered a set of speakers excluding the tweeters from ebay complete with adapters for the arosa, nice set of edge ones.
Also the tweeters seem to be a little bit awkward, i've taken them out of the dash but how do i put new tweeters in the casing to keep the oem look? Don't want to break the casing!
-
Right well the speakers were okay until the right hand side speakers blew including the tweeter. Any advice on what speakers to get from halfords? Cba waiting for ones to arrive online as I have a road trip planned soon. Also how on earth do I connect new tweeters to the original connectors?
-
So just take them off altogether? The condensation is quite bad though, the seals are definitely broken though cause it's even a little dirty inside!

Hi Guys, bought an arosa but there's a little problem, for whatever reason the bumper has been riveted on and the headlights are misted up inside quite badly and need to take them out, is there actually any way to take the headlights out without taking the bumper off? I was thinking of just heating the lenses and prying them off from the front and then resealing them on with clear silicone sealant while on the car, anyone got any ideas?

Hi again, looking to get some better wheels than the standard wheels on my tdi, however i don't want to spend big money until next year when i have 3sdm wheels in mind, so i just want something to get me by, even steel wheels, which wheels fit? Lupo?
-
Looks tidy this mate! Not all to my taste but i appreciate a tidy car no matter the taste hows the performance after those mods?
-
Hi guys, found a slight issue with the arosa, both headlights are getting full of condensation and same goes for the back 2, any solutions how to seal them properly? Thanks!

Picked the TDi up today from gloucester, Canica Blue with 91,000 on the clock, full service history with everything perfect!
Only a couple of tiny things to sort out, the door stay on the drivers side door, ordered a nearside grill which was missing for a fiver off eBay and i'm off work tomorrow to give it a huge clean and a good polishing.
Never enjoyed driving a car so much, especially coming from an 08 fiesta st i wasn't expecting a lot but i was proved wrong, it's a great car, very nippy and decent on the motorway with no problem overtaking which i was concerned about!
Most space in a car i've ever owned, dash looks modern enough and with my cd player in the speakers are actually pretty darn good. Overall i'm absolutely over the moon with it and i've got a perfect plan set out in my mind what i'm going to do to it
I'll be starting a progress blog very soon

so that's why your name is loop the bass!

Great responses guys I think I'll leave it for now but eventually buy some online after doing a bit of research. I'd never buy anything other than an air freshener or autoglym products from halfrauds, the prices are ridiculous for the items they sell. I have a don't xplode head unit ready for fitting on pickup and I'll listen to some music on the way home to test, it's not all about the most crisp sound so judging by comments on here they might be okay!
In my very first car I had jbl speakers and they were the best speakers I've ever had, alpine a might be the way forward in this instance.

Hi guys, picking my Arosa up on Thursday and just thought i'd see what everyone thought of the standard speakers in them? Really like my music and the sound system is important to me
-
it's on 91,000 so could still be worth doing it. Thanks i'll take a look at the thread and take note!
It'll be a 40 drop so nothing drastic as the areas i live in isn't speed bump free, i'd like to slam it though on coilovers, bit expensive at the moment though, maybe if i have the car long enough, picking it up from gloucester so it's a nice 3 hour drive home to get to know the car!
Lowering my arosa
in Seat Arosa
Posted
Hi guys just looking at what to lower my arosa by, I don't want coilovers, I want it to be low enough to look good but not so low that it's impractical, any suggestions at what springs I'm looking at? I've been on demon tweaks and seen spax 40mm, will these do? Also I have a canica blue arosa, any suggestions on mods than will make it look good?
