Hey, looking for some advice. After a long drive last week the clutch on the Lupo started to fail, the release bearing was very noisy and struggled to go into 1st and 2nd, it was then parked up and new parts ordered (probably drove around 5 miles in this condition to get it home). Ordered a new LUK clutch kit and got to work replacing it. So, removed the gearbox and replaced release bearing, clutch and pressure plate...bolted everything back together, dropped the gearbox oil and replaced it and fired the car up. Problem is, there's still a squealing noise coming from either the clutch or box, before the clutch started to die it ran silently, the noise is present when the car is in neutral and in gear, it only goes away whilst the clutch is depressed. If i hadn't just replaced everything i would say the noise was the realease bearing, it goes away when the clutch is pressed and selects gears with ease. So my question is....do you rekon I've been mega unlucky and the new release bearing is also ****ed? or is it more likely that some other bearing has died? Any input welcome, Ta.
