  1. Lupo is still coming together slowly (Hate being paid monthly! ) Hopefully pull it apart properly, just waiting to borrow a C spanner since I don't know what size I'm after.
  2. The first drive was very flat but my drive at home is pretty uneven :/
  3. Nope, This project has gone very well compared to my last one, apart from jacking it up, everything else is easy.
  4. Its currently got 92k on it, still a lot of fight left in the old girl! Get the odd rattle and knock when cold but runs great when it warms up and it is 14 years old
  5. Just under £500 up to now. I got told that it needed an exhaust bandage and a few other trim bits. I wasn't told about: The missing adjuster rings for the rear coilovers The oil leak The damage of the exhaust The dents and scuffs The naff interior (or lack of it) The damaged head lights and indicator panel The door not being attached properly and the fact that it drops The missing gear stick gator
  6. I still haven't got the hang of the uploader! Welcome!
  7. And here we are today, just need these fitting and some new tyres then we can hopefully get this on the road! https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13444895965/in/photostream/
  8. Since the old interior was pretty much hanging off, I thought I'd invest in some new door cards and I just happened to come across a written off lupo sport in a scrappy https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13445239474/in/photostream/
  9. Now that we're home, time to rip apart the door and try and re-attach the door that the previous owner failed to tell me about.... Oh yeah, and we have an oil leak, also not mentoned!! https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13445215274/in/photostream/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13445227554/in/photostream/
  10. With the new downpipe fitted, minus the lambda sensor, it was time to drive it up the road to my house now that my driveway was free!!! https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13445209084/in/photostream/
  11. So the £7 exhaust bandage and putty turned into a £70 down pipe and cat... Time to do some actual work! https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13445132814/
  12. Then rather than buying more stickers, I actually invested in an exhaust bandage to get one of the problems sorted... Remember that 'tiny hole'? Well here is it! https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13444712905/
  13. Then a good clean... and 1000 more pictures... THAT WONT APPEAR! https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13424310794/in/photostream/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13424312804/in/photostream/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13424316024/in/photostream/
  14. Then came the 'ideas'... https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13423945855/in/photostream/
  15. This was the start of a very bad habit... https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13424304424/in/photostream/
  16. If you're like me, the first thing you do when you get a car is take 1000 pictures of it to plaster all over facebook... so here is a few https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13424276464/in/photostream/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13424277784/in/photostream/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13424280734/in/photostream/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13424044313/in/photostream/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13424046243/in/photostream/
  17. So the day came to pick it up. I arrived and needless to say, the car was in a bit of a worse shape than I was told. I got told that it needed an exhaust bandage sine the exhaust had a slight hole in it, that it needed new tyres and a few minor things. I got there and the drivers door was in bits, the interior was in a terrible state, the indicators were barely on but I didn't mind since it was easily repairable so it got hooked up and towed home. https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13424264354/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13424266954/in/photostream/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/121470772@N04/13424271594/in/photostream/ P.S. I am not the hobbit looking fella in some of these pics, he just conviniently got in the way... Thanks Gary!!
  18. Yeah, £200 for a lupo that needed a 'tiny bit of work, only 2 or 3 jobs'...apparently
  19. I've had this car for nearly a year and I'm only just starting a project thread about it since it is actually starting to get into shape, so, here goes... I was offered a Lupo 1.4s for a grand total of £200 due to the old owner needing to move house so I jumped at the offer considering my previous project car still being worse for wear. Just going to post links since I can't seem to get pictures to appear in my thread!! http://s1053.photobucket.com/user/MrCarMad94/media/dub1.jpg.html
  20. The Lupo is coming along great... Hope it passes its MOT

  21. Cheers guys, a little update on the loop. Currently on axle stands awaiting the fitting of adjuster rings for the rear, some new tyres then an MOT!!
  22. Hate having no money! so much I want to do to my car!!

  23. What is the best product to use to fill in the numberplate recess?
  24. Need a set of adjuster rings for the rear of my lupo. I've got a TA Technix set up with no adjuster rings so in desperate need of them or anything that will fit.
  25. Just thought I'd come and say hi since I'm new to this forum. I own a 2000 vw lupo 1.4s which cost me £200 due to it having its problems. She used to look good, but over time, she has fell into disrepair but she is being repaired and costing me enough money. I would upload pics but haven't got the hang of it yet.
