  1. as allready stated, it's a question of finding the right manifold, try sorg motorsport in germany..... you can buy them from advanced autosport technolgies as well, they will also supply complete kits of parts needed for the whole conversion

I would rather go for the DTH bodies, no need for an inlet. DTH = Direct To Head. Saves weight and the need to search for an inlet.

  2. Jamsport in Northampton where we had an rr day and (I heard) they made some tidy and powerful Ford engines*?

(I seem to remember a Fiesta and Escort RST that came out of there doing pretty silly times at the pod)

Edit: Wasn't there a Polo from there recently that was powerful too?

    * Internet slaps dished out for those people who say Ford engines are rubbish and aren't as good as VW ones

    Yeah Jamsport in Northampton.

    Jamsport

  3. Would highly recommend a Cat-back system by Bastuck from Regal. Nice build quality and fits very nice. In terms of the sound, it is quite quiet and deep at low revs, and compliments the BMC CDA at high revs nicely aswell!

Although not identical to the standard exhaust, it does keep the twin pipe OE look, which is what you want. 13112005002.jpg border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" />

will mytyrs deliver to the fitters so you can just stroll in and get them fitted?

Yep, Mytyres can deliver them to a tyre fitter anywhere that you specify. All of their services are detailed within their website.

  5. http://www.mytyres.co.uk

Fantastic service when I used them & I paid £43 each for my 205/45/15 toyos

I can vouch for Mytyres also. Excellent service.

Car is now on it's third set, all have been bought from Mytyres and arrived within 5 working days. One set arrived within 2 days. cool.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

any thoughts on a price seen some on e bay for serious prices from a garage

    You got any pics?

  7. You have posted a pointless thread.

Tigz would not have posted that thread for fun in the "How to section".

The subframes are not different between the Sport and the GTi and you have to mod the Lupo one in order to fit the Recaros. No way around that.

I have seen people try to fit the Recaros to their Sport straight in and it was not possible!

  8. Thats what i am trying to figure out, because someone said that they have fitted in Sports straight in.

So its took you this long to say that someone has fitted them into their sport without having to swap subframes! Would have helped if you said that in the first place rolleyes.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Why would the Lupo Sport subframes be different from the Lupo GTi ones? They wouldnt be.

  9. From what I can see from the "How to section...", the MK4 subframes have bolster supports and all the lupo subframes do not.

So its a case of grinding them off the MK4 subframes and welding them onto your lupo frames before you install the seats.

This is shown in photographs in that section so I do not quite get what you are asking if thats not it?

  10. Another question regarding the fitting of Golf Recaros in the Loop. A number of people had to put their Recaro's onto their current Lupo seat bases and weld on the metal bolster support on them.

How are they bases different from one another?

I presume you have read the "How to..." section yeah?

  11. You would be surprised about the dealers.

A member on here from where I live went to two coachworks and also to our local VW garage. The dealer was cheaper by around £75. Thats for the dealer doing the work aswell as supplying the paint.

So it is not always the case that the dealer is the dearest.

  12. What is it for?

    Would touch up paint suffice?

A local coachworks that uses computer mixed paint may be able to help... or going direct to a VW dealer depending on the size of the job.
