I have a problem that is baffling me and wonder if any one can shed some light on it i have just swapped the gearbox on the wifes arosa for an identical one im haveing a few problems when front of car is jacked up about 2 foot goes into gear easily without engine running when its level on the ground it wont go into any gear, second when you press clutch in with engine running goes into gear with no noised but then starts to drive the wheels without letting the clutch out any idea what this could be as been on it for 3 days now and doing my nut in as im not qualified or anything just have basis knoledge and trying to save a bit of money , my theiory is if its broke have a go you cant brake it any help advice much appriciated

hope its ok to post this on here aquired a W reg 1999 arosa 1.0L (poor mans lupo) about a month back for my son to start driving in an moding, been using it for about a month now but has developed a problem when your driving all is ok once you take your foot of accelerator to slow down we get a whining once we accelerate again it goes and is ok to you decelerate. also i have noticed every now and again when reversing it jumps out of gear is this a gearbox problem or drive shaft bearing or clutch
