hey guys, I recently bought myself a lupo, its the dark metallic green colour. Its called dragon green on polos im not sure if its the same colour code etc for the lupos but its very similar. Here's mine Anyone else on here got the same colour? or got pics of modified lupos in this colour. thanks a lot

hey guys. just had an interim service and had a few things done. they said they ran a test and the fault code was P0171 theres also an advisory about an oil leak in the engine which may be associated? anyone got a clue what the code refers to?

hey everyone. i bought a second hand kenwood stereo cd player. Ive never fitted one before so i might just be being stupid but could do with a bit of help. I took out the vw tape player. (the back has a brown and a black ISO connector and also a black, what looks like aerial cable) at the back of my kenwood one is a space for the ISO but with a different shaped cable and nowhere for the vw aerial cable to fit. the cd player works when the iso is connected so is it just an adapter i need to make the radio work? will post pics if it helps thanks a lot.

im pretty sure i have this same issue. front right seems to make a clunk going slow over speed bumps. would love to know what it is. im in for a service at the weekend so if they shed any light on it i'll let you know!

hi guys. i wanted to clean my throttle body out with carb cleaner but realised i dont actually know where it is. here's a picture of my engine bay, if someone could point out where it is that would be great. sorry for being such an awful car owner. ive only had my first car a week! also, the EGR valve, wheres that!? thanks

gunna go and get some air in my tyres tomorrow. is there a psi which is better for daily driving /efficiency etc? or shall i just go with the psi stated on the tyres?

how much danger of windscreen shatter is there!? im scared!! is there anything i can do to reduce that danger??

hi guys just wandering how difficult it is to remove and replace the rear view mirror on a 2002 lupo S its stuck to the glass so i'm weary of removing it as dont want to scratch/crack the windscreen i will either be covering it or replacing it with a black one to tidy it up a bit. thanks

i'll give it a go. not 100% confident in doing stuff but ive found the guides for cleaning both things. so will have a pop when i get the chance. thanks man

had a look. ordered some new carb cleaner and will have a go at cleaning throttle body and egr when i have time hopefully at the weekend. is a vw service a good idea for something like this. although it costs 150 quid it'd be peace of mind for a little bit atleast as its a new car (for me)

When i swtich on the radio (engine off) it first flashes SAFE then looks like it wants me to input a code. default being 1000 i tried disconnecting the stereo at the back with the engine off then trying to turn it on again both with and without the engine on. everything still kept taking it to this screen is there anything i can do or shall i head to the vw garage when i can and ask them for the code?

hi guys im looking to replace my standard radio/casette player in my lupo S i need the code for the radio at the moment anyway so will this still cause me a problem if i upgrade my unit to a pioneer for example also, with the standard aftermarket stereos will i need a fascia adapter/ DIN adapter or will it fit in the gap nicely? (my car currently has the blaupunkt beta radio in it) thanks

hey everyone driving my recently purchased 1.4 S lupo there was a slight shudder under breaking and then the 'exhaust emission warning lamp' came on its flashing. Its the symbol which looks like an engine with a lightening bolt through it My manual says ' Any faults in the engine management system of the petrol engine which occur whilst driving will be indicated by a flashing warning lamp - the engine must be checked by a vw dealer as soon as possible' WHAT SHOULD I DO!? i dont know if it's linked to this but when the engine is on the idle revs are around 1000. however there is an occasional slight drop and i think there is some 'hunting'. sounds like the engine is trying hard to rev at the correct level but its not sure what to do sorry if i sound moronic, but this is the best way i can describe it thanks a lot for your help in advance.

allllllllllright!! just come home with my first car. green 2002 vw lupo s 1.4 got 63k miles on it and its in pretty good condition overall got a few questions though. (might be better to ask in separate sections i know) - I need a code for the radio? its a beta radio casette im pretty sure but i think i need to input a code - can i plug my ipod in and use this without a code? - /what do i need to be able to do this - slight rattling when the engine is idle revving. any ideas what this could be will upload some pics of the car tomorrow once ive cleaned it and stuff im well excited!!
