  1. Are you talking about the door panels? I found it was a mixture of the white ones and the black christmas tree ones.

Managed to get some similar clips from the car section at The Range. They weren't a perfect fit, some of them did, some of them didn't

I previously found some on eBay but it took a lot of searching through pages of useless crap and when I tried to find them again I couldn't.

  2. When I replaced my battery the old was the original OEM Varta, which is one of the reasons I think they are overspecced for that particular engine, a 13 year old battery wouldn't be meeting the supposed spec for CCA. 60A is the spec of the 027 battery.

I don't know anything about Lion either, but I was limited in my choice to what was in stock and the 3 year warranty was better value for money than the bosch or vartas which only had 4 or 5 year warranties but were a lot more expensive. On a 13 year car they might all outlast the car anyway :)

  3. The spring is definitely the hardest part. If the lock part is in good condition carry on with it. If you bought a new one you would have to take it apart to make it fit your old key anyway.

Use some thick gloves. Some people put the spring in before the bit that goes on top and some people put the top bit on first then try to squeeze the spring in and clip it underneath. There's no easy way I'm afraid.
