Hi All,
Has anyone tried to transport a detached Lupo door in the back of a Lupo? If so how easily did it fit?
My tape measure makes me think it would be tricky

I've google image searched them and they don't look familiar to me, but I haven't taken any of the plug receivers out of the lupo

Are you talking about the door panels? I found it was a mixture of the white ones and the black christmas tree ones.
Managed to get some similar clips from the car section at The Range. They weren't a perfect fit, some of them did, some of them didn't
I previously found some on eBay but it took a lot of searching through pages of useless crap and when I tried to find them again I couldn't.

When I replaced my battery the old was the original OEM Varta, which is one of the reasons I think they are overspecced for that particular engine, a 13 year old battery wouldn't be meeting the supposed spec for CCA. 60A is the spec of the 027 battery.
I don't know anything about Lion either, but I was limited in my choice to what was in stock and the 3 year warranty was better value for money than the bosch or vartas which only had 4 or 5 year warranties but were a lot more expensive. On a 13 year car they might all outlast the car anyway

Yeah, £20 for a switch is awful, that's what I paid for an non-oem new switch. Guess the volumes go down the prices go up

Looks great, I don't know about the Arosa but the Lupo sidelights hardly emit any light at all. Plus they're LEDs so use less energy than the filament bulbs

Sparks should be checked on every service though, although obviously you can't see many faults

Take it to a local garage. They'll probably decode it for free if you get them to do the repairs.It could mean anything that light, faulty sensors sometimes

It's still not legal, but if you want to take the risk keep the plastic ones in the boot incase you get pulled since they might give you a warning.if you can make it road legal

Saw a guy on the TV get pulled for german plates. Unless it's a German car it's not legal

Is it the mounting bracket on the door that is catching on the door frame? I've not seen a decent solution to this, I have the problem myself

You have to take the lock barrel out to fully remove the handle. To get the barrel out you will have to remove a metal clip that is very fiddly but you can get at it when the barrel is sticking out.

It looks a bit like the internal sleeve isn't line up correctly and so the notch doesn't go into the groove

The spring is definitely the hardest part. If the lock part is in good condition carry on with it. If you bought a new one you would have to take it apart to make it fit your old key anyway.
Use some thick gloves. Some people put the spring in before the bit that goes on top and some people put the top bit on first then try to squeeze the spring in and clip it underneath. There's no easy way I'm afraid.

Did you get the collar bit clipped on right? Was it the assembly that fell apart, or was it the whole thing fell out of the lock?
