Ok sorted this today. Well my husband did, I held the door etc bottom hinge was broke, he replaced that easily. Then after stripping a lot of dash plastic he said the top one was gonna be a real pain. He checked out the hinge and managed to tighten it. So all is good now. thanks VR6 for the heads up on that. How do people get to the top one? He could not work out how to drop the relay box out (didn't want to bust anything).

Had the calipers cleaned up and new pads done today. Annoying squeek/chirp seems to have gone for now. I hope so. The guy at brake place took car for a test drive afterwards and came back saying god that thing pulls, what engines in that ? gotta get one of them. So I guess he had a good 5 min blast down the road in it.

Quick wash and polish, loads of tar spots to remove later.

New to Lupo's so after a little help maybe some pics if u have them please. My drivers door has dropped, I have a set of hinges ready to fit. I checked out the how to thread on this but the pics have dissapeared. Can anyone help with some pics please ? Hoping to do this tomorrow. I have removed the bonnet pull lever (got to buy some spline sockets for the dash anyone know the sizes I will need? ) I have the one for the hinge bolts. Any helpful info would be great. thanks

Hi sweet! early bay

GTI going in for new pads on front tomorrow as when driving there is a really irritating squeek on each rotation of the passenger wheel. No bearing play. Pads and discs are good but thought I would try this first as cheap option. Fingers crossed it goes away. No idea what else it could be??

Hi, my name is Charlie, Just bought a 2001 Lupo GTI after my Polo was written off last week (hit from behind as traffic slowed on motorway). The Polo is no more but Iam ok (just a bit bruised). The GTI is a lovely little car, I have found a few issues with it and may be needing some advice and help from the forum shortly. I hope u can help. I will take some pics when it stops raining. But it is just a standard GTI in moon silver, nothing too exciting. pics
